Unify email group and channel feed/posts
When I create a team, I get an O365 Group with it, and an Outlook DL. I can also sign up for notifications for the channel.
The channel feed and email group should behave consistently:
- If I email the DL, it should appear in the Team feed.
- If I post in the Team Feed, and I have notifications turned on, it should email me. If I respond, that should appear in the Team Feed.
- I should not have to go to Groups or Outlook to find some of the messages, but see others in the Team Feed... both should be unified.
- If I go to Groups or Outlook, the messages from the team feed should all be there, not just ones sent by email.

I agree with this one 100%. Users are confused as to why we can't change DLs to groups (which we can) and then see those emails in the General channel instead of having to go into outlook to see what was sent to the group. I would propose that the Group doesn't even have a visible email function that is outside of teams. It feels like teams is the UI for all the group functions (which is great), as having a team sit on a group and have to go back and forth is confusing and a bit clunky IMO. I think it would be great if the Group was obfuscated from the team when a group has a team attached to it.

Yep, the only way to use Teams is to use Teams all the time. Teams chats stay in Teams, O365 group chat stays there, does not show up in Teams. Emails sent to O365 team connected to a Teams team aren't part of the
Teams chat and only show in O365.I can see the logic, but it's not end-user logic. It should all show up everywhere. That's going to be the expectation of the herd. And, I really hate having to say Teams team.
If MS wants to increase adoption, this has to happen. It was hard enough to get people using Lync / Skype for Business. Who has the time to explain to every user that yeah, you have to look in 3 different places to keep up.

Count us in on this one! As new to O365 you quickly feel there are multiple new inboxes to keep track of and it cause frustration.
(Think the reason why there are not that many votes on stuff is that there are many duplicates here and somewhat hard to find if someone else already has posted the same thing... And there are many thing we have waited for quite some time now as well so a faster deployment pace would drive more interest too!)

I am surprised there is so little interest in this feature, does it even have much hope?

This is HUGE for us. It's a massive gap at the moment.

Yes. I'd like a connector or bot to allow emails to the O365 Group address to be forwarded to the general channel of the team and replies to those emails to be emailed out as replies to the incoming email.
It appears that MS Teams is meant to run as a separate app to O365 Groups. I'd like it to be a combination of O365 Groups functionality and Teams all in the same app.

Very much agree. Our group was just converted to a team however the converstations are continuing in the Exchange Distribution list and are not therefore migrating into Teams. It would be better if there was a default channel that had the old email address in common.
