EML file reader for reading emailed conversations to a channel
Related to the recent "Forward an email to a channel".
The full email is attached as an EML file. But it needs to be downloaded to read.
Please build an EML file reader into the application and browser experience. It will be valuable to read the full email without downloading.

To read and open EML files without any hard effect, use MailsDaddy Free EML Viewer Tool. It is an advanced utility the easily opens any size of EML files. It also provides a pro edition of the software that helps to import EML files into multiple formats.

As the email is available in files, and by clicking on it, you can open/view as expected, the only change required is for the 'View original email' hyperlink to be changed to .. switch to files (so sharepoint interface is available) and open the linked email in the same way the user would. Why is this so difficult?
The same solution works fine if you attach the eml file to a post or task for example.

Teams is able to open eml files vía Files Tab, Idk why ask to download the message, this is not intuitive neither practical.
There is now an eml reader if you open the email from the files tab, but the obvious way of getting to the email (via the view original email link in the post) still results in downloading the eml file. Combine this with the fact that windows default handling of eml files is to start mail and prompt you to set up an account, even if you have outlook installed, and it gets messy very quickly.

This would be a really handy feature to have.

It is frustrating. Outlook and Teams, both applications are from Microsoft, but the Integration is very bad. Also drag and drop wont work. I'm totally surprised.

It is frustrating that there is no native EML reader, can't even open in O365 Outlook which would make sense.

Definitly a good suggestion just ran into the same issue.
YES. This is an absolute must for non-technical users.

This current implementation is very inconvenient. Having used email since the 1980s and webmail for more than a decade, I was really jarred by the idea that I need to download an email message from the teams application that I am using and then open it in a separate application. This interface seems so foreign that it makes me feel that the designers or developers of this feature must be from a different planet.
