File column sort order
Make column sort order "sticky" so that if I prefer to sort my files by Name instead of Last Accessed, Team will remember my preference within a Team
We are happy to share that the column sort order can now be preserved in the Files Channel tab!
Please see the below SharePoint documentation for creating and updating custom views of a document library. This is now honored in Microsoft Teams.
Thanks for your feedback!

Clearly not the ideal sort order for most of the time. It needs to be fixed Indeed.
Dear MS Teams Crew,
this issue is requested long time now.
Any update on this?
Please update status Warren.

This drives everyone in our organization crazy. We would like to keep the folder structure alphabetized but it also resorts back to modified date.
please please please fix this ASAP.
I have to agree. It drives me crazy that files are in Last modified order. Allow me to sort them by name and have it stick please.

PLEASE update this feature on teams to sort A to Z as default on the platform!
Please add the ability to sort files by name as a default setting.
Are you still 'working on it'? This needs to be fixed asap. What waste of time that the sort order is not taken from the view settings.

This "uservoice" thread shows that the users of Microsoft have no voice.
Clearly Microsoft doesnt care... its 2020 June for goodness sake, 2 yrs since the issue was raised. This doenst even sound like its a hard issue to fix, just hard code it and give the user two options
1. Alphabetical Order
2. Last modified
Any progress on this? seems last comment from an admin was a substantial amount of time ago. We started going more "all in" on Teams, and this is definitely an annoying feature for staff to have to change.

I created a custom view but it still doesn't stick. I have to reselect my custom view everytime I open the Teams app or switch to a different channel
Please fix this asap Microsoft, it really can't be that hard now can it?! You'll be making all of our ms teams experience a whole lot more enjoyable

Microsoft, the last update on this was 2018, any new updates you can share? This not being able to determine how you want things sorted and have it stick is really annoying.

Still not fixed? Good lord...nearly 2 full years to implement a sort preference option...this IS a paid product you folks understand right? Its not freeware...
