File column sort order
Make column sort order "sticky" so that if I prefer to sort my files by Name instead of Last Accessed, Team will remember my preference within a Team
This feature request is still in the works. I hope to have more updates soon. I’ll keep you posted.

This is still needed. Any update?
I really don't understand how it's taking this long to setup such a basic function int he system. I am trying to implement this program to my company and this default sort order honestly deters the users because it makes basic functionality so confusing.

Two years to implement default sort order? This is *basic* functionality of any file system.
No option to change default view FROM LAST USED does not allow me to use my files the way I need to. ETA on Fix?

How is this basic feature not yet enabled? I saw a chat about this going back to 2017. There needs to be an ability to customize the sorting of columns/files and set a default. It makes no sense.
This stuff makes me question the entire use of Teams... not knowing what other stupid things are going to pop-up as I learn the application.
Time waster not having this feature... when we are trying our best to eliminate waste.
Please advise Microsoft Leadership (repeatedly) that this is a critical priority for their user base ... understandably, not everyone comprehends the work that needs to go into the fix, but the longer this goes on, the more damage to the Brand. Everyone has enough to do, without having to constantly resort and search through/for their collaborations ... that this is still an issue is bordering on inexcusable. That being said, many thanks to you and your team(s) for everything "behind the scenes"!
Is it possible to get an update on this request? Listed for a couple of years as "Working on it" and this seems like a pretty straightforward request.
This is very irritating - and presumably not too hard to fix...
Can we please get a response for this request?
Any update on this!
I am pretty sure, this Warren-guy is no longer with Microsoft and we are putting input into the trash bin directly. Nobody is reading this, so there won't be any update or action in this matter.
And as there is no way to ask anybody from MS to check why there hasn't been any update for years now (at least I haven't found anything on this page)...well - I guess we'll have to accept that this is nothing that will ever change. Very Disappointing - both the fact that such a stupid design is never changed, and even more the fact that MS is simply ignoring all this input here.
I'm certainly in the wrong place, but can MS please give us the option DO NOT SORT my files or the items in them, i.e. leave them in the order they are in when I close up. People often want to order and RE-ORDER their files by URGENCY, or CURRENT FAVORITE etc -- subjective but meaningful things -- and forcing us to always use alphabetical or other rigid ordering is very annoying.
Also, can we please have a proper numerical ordering system. If you try to simply number your files, 11 comes before 2, 199 comes before 2, etc. The program uses an alphabetical algorithm for numbers, taking everything to the right before moving up. This is so stupid it us unbelievable.
This is a ridiculously simple and intuitively obvious feature that is badly needed and should not be considered optional. Steve Jobs is laughing hysterically at Microsoft from beyond. This is fodder for another Microsoft/Apple commercial.
Any update on this topic?
I am trying to have my colleagues use teams as a collaboration tool but its not helping. Them, having to click on A-Z all the time. Please fix this.
Please, post a status updated. Thanks

Work faster, 3 plus years is pathetic, or we working at the speed of that MS copying window?
Hi Warren, we haven't had a reply since 2018 and this is still outstanding, what's the status please. You've got paying users from all over the globe and UX such as this still hasn't been prioritised.
Attached are two screenshots:
- SPO with sorted folders.
- MS Teams with non-sorted folders.
This particular team is NEW and has not been used yet, meaning there should not be any arbitrary sorting by "last modified" or similar.
It's unacceptable that we've not had an update in over two years.

Common @warren.... it too slow to implement so trivial and annoying change. You are working on it from 2018/07? Really?
Please fix this!!
