Increase user limit beyond 999
Will need the team user limit to increase well beyond 999 users to support a "team" for company-wide communication, for a very large company (15,000+).
Great news! Your team membership limit is now 2,500 people in any one team.
This 2,500 limit includes both guests and regular members in your team.
Also, your channels per team limit is still 100.
Thanks and tweet me at @skprufo if you have any questions.

please raise this limit
We need about 3000 user limit to be able to use Teams in our organisation....
Please increase the limit of number of people who can be added in a channel - currently 999 is the maximum limit... that is not enough

We definitely need 5,000 or more in a team. We are a large, global company.
We need the upper limit increased to 1600 to support our organization. We are having great success using Teams as a collaboration team for our Sales Force but will hit the 999 limit very soon. This cant be addressed quickly enough.
I would happy to share with Microsoft on our use case and success we are having.

I've just hit the 999 limit so it is definitely still in place. Are there plans to increase the max number on a Team? Major obstacle to our implementation and adoption of Teams in our organisation.

We have a sales team of 1,000+ reps that are using Teams for knowledge-sharing on their mobile devices. Raising the 999 limit will ensure everyone gets to participate. As of right now, this is the biggest obstacle we are facing with Microsoft Teams.
Is there a limit to how many members can be added to MS Teams?

I've been told the limit was increased to 2500 in June, but the Teams client still shows "Office 365 groups (of less than "999" people) can have the functionality of Microsoft Teams added"; this might just be a mismatch between UI and backend, so I guess it's worth testing.

Ditto - 1250 employees so not far from the current 999 but having to split use cases between MS teams and having to use Yammer for >999 doesn't seem to make much sense if most of the other comms is running through teams. We want to reduce the number of tools we need to keep track of and make it easy for people to know where to go.

Highly second this request.! The value of "Public" teams cannot truly realized until we're given the ability to create "All company" teams -- such as those based on special interests, company policies and announcements, or technologies.
In a company of 7000 employees, a limit of 999 members is too restrictive to use Teams in this way. Additionally, we want one tool for collaboration -- not "Teams" for this and "Yammer", etc., for that.

In the ”Add members”-dialog that is shown when you create a team it states that I can add people, groups and distribution lists from my organization. What if I have a distribution list with all employees in the company (may be way more than 999), will it be possible to add that distribution list? If not, is there any other way to create a channel that reaches the entire organization?
