Allow removal of suggested contacts
Please remove/turnoff Suggested contacts from bottom left

The option to “discard” suggested contacts in your chat list is rolling out to users. We will be making further changes to make suggested contacts more relevant for new users in the future as well, so marking as partially completed. Thanks for your patience with this one.

My request is add two options: (1) Allow turning off suggestions altogether, and (2) also allow "Don't suggest again" for specific suggestions.

My list of "suggested contacts" is full of people I either don't know or who don't work here any more. I do NOT want to accidentally message them. I can't really think of a reasonable use case for this feature in the first place. It smells like linkedin feature creep.

Yes Please, my suggested contacts is only showing people I had in my inner circle 3 years ago - nothing current. How is this even possible seeing I was not using Teams back then?

Please remove the suggested contacts. I don't think anybody prefers to see it. Mine contains people that are no longer with the company, or I don't want to accidentally message to them.

Until the suggested contacts go away we will not use it, recommend it to clients or support it. Are you even reading these complaints?

The suggested contacts are people that I don't want to accidentally message like the CEO and group vice presidents and a whole slew of high level executives. - Please offer a way to turn the suggestions off or remove them. - Thanks

Yes, please have an option to hide this as this is not helping specially when you have a lot of people to chat with. It clutters the contacts field

PLEASE TURN OFF suggested contacts in the new Teams app.... we have a number of hidden accounts in our GAL and you should not automatically show them all! I feel like this happens everytime you turn out a new app. Please find a way to be able to manage hidden user accounts across all O365 apps both old and new.

If there is not going to be a delete all button soon for these suggested contacts, I will convert to Gmail for good. Thank you.

Please remove this annoying feature. I never use Other Suggestions, and find it very annoying to see contacts that are irrelevant, deleted from my address book, and even dead - regularly appear here. My screen is cluttered enough with the abominable ribbon, without even more space stolen by this. All that I, and most of the other correspondents seem to want is a tick box in "Settings" to disable it, and perhaps a way to edit it for the very few who find it useful.
The Recent Contacts facility is also useless. Why does the algorithm think that I will want to contact again a person who I've only written to once recently, and prior to that not for years? I want to be able to turn this off, not just delete names each time. I know how I want Outlook to look. Microsoft does not.

I do not want SUGGESTED CONTACTS stored. I want to delete them permanently. What is wrong with Microsoft support?
