Allow removal of suggested contacts
Please remove/turnoff Suggested contacts from bottom left

The option to “discard” suggested contacts in your chat list is rolling out to users. We will be making further changes to make suggested contacts more relevant for new users in the future as well, so marking as partially completed. Thanks for your patience with this one.

Seriously... rounding the corner on almost 2 years since this was suggested and it's still not done? As other's have said... how hard can this possibly be to fix?

agree, makes this an option that can be turned on/off, and also that you can set the default to open collapsed.

Got rid of every memory of my ex. But can't wipe her name from the #1 spot on suggested contacts despite not messaging for 2 years...
How hard can this possibly be to fix?

I've got people on this list that left the company six months ago.

I'll add my two cents. Please remove this. It is completely unnecessary.

This is a waste of space on an already busy chat screen. Please PLEASE make Suggested contacts an option not a default!

Can't believe this defect is open since March 2017, and it's still not resolved...

It is already possible to minimise them but what I would like to do which is what I thought this post was for; is to remove specific suggested contacts and actually leave others there. So to modify the suggested contacts list.
Thanks.

It would be great to remove suggested contacts from in Teams - this would be brilliant.

I want to delete a user from the suggested contact list. For some reason a user that has left the organisation is still in the list. I just want to have the option to delete that person.

To give an example of why the "suggested contacts" should be re-configured or removed.
What would happen if a colleague was to have died tragically. This can be devastating to colleagues. The last thing they need is for that colleagues name to show up on their "suggested contacts" every day with no way to remove it. Surely you just add the ability to right click on a contact and remove/hide.
Surely this is not too hard to accomplish?

Some observations:
- The "Suggested" list shows contacts whose accounts have expired (i.e. because they have left the organization). It would be preferable if they were instead removed in a timely manner.
- The list also shows contacts that have never logged into Skype For Business or Teams. Such contacts should not be listed.
- Similarly, 'service' accounts (e.g. "it-help@example.com") are listed as available contacts. These too should be not be listed (and hopefully would be covered by the above suggestion re: contacts that have never logged in).
- Under "Chat", there are two tabs - "Recent" and "Contacts". Users generally expect a list of contacts as their starting point for conversations; the "Contacts" tab provides exactly this functionality. The default tab however is "Recent", which can confuse users into thinking that the list of suggested contacts is their main contact list. Making the "Contacts" tab the first / default would alleviate this issue.

It seems to show every single person I've ever talked to on S4B, most of whom I will never talk to again. So I don't need to see them, I don't want to see them. This is the most annoying thing I've found so far in Teams.

Its a mystery where these suggested contacts come from and a disaster that they cannot be managed. #annoyed
