Allow removal of suggested contacts
Please remove/turnoff Suggested contacts from bottom left

The option to “discard” suggested contacts in your chat list is rolling out to users. We will be making further changes to make suggested contacts more relevant for new users in the future as well, so marking as partially completed. Thanks for your patience with this one.

Also, Suggested only appears in the Contacts mode; it doesn't appear in the Chats mode. However, I like the Contacts mode better because my usual contacts appear in alphabetical order, which in Chats mode they appear in some kind of random mode. Also, items that I deleted in Contacts mode still show up in Chats mode, plus there are a bunch phone numbers that are listed in Chats mode that I'd like to remove because I have no idea who they are for. Unfortunately, contact deletion under Chats Profile is not offered. I don't like the idea of these phone numbers just hanging around on my Skype account.

The Suggested Contacts that are on my list are just duplicates of the ones that are listed below in alphabetical order. So it's kind of annoying to have them there because they are no more useful to listed at the top than others on my list. The Favorites list fulfills that function. Otherwise, I can quickly scroll down and find the contacts I want because they are in alphabetical order.

Cannot believe that anything so irritating as this cannot be removed. It insults the user and is so banal. I've even had my own name appear at the top of the list of suggested contacts.
get rid of it please. -

Working within an organization where employees who are no longer with the company show up in suggested lists. This is really off-putting to owners and managers within the company. Please allow a way to remove contacts who are disabled/shared/deleted to be removed from this list.

I cannot believe that someone, who implemented it, did not add an option to remove it or at least to minimize it. They have time to implement absolutely useless feature but they do not have a time to fix bugs and implement basic necesssary features.

I can't believe this hasn't been figured out yet. This is causing me emotional turmoil since the person top of my suggested list is someone I'd rather never ever have any communication with. There has to be some way that this issue can be resolved.

This is similar to Quick Access but cannot be controlled by the user, so it is not useful to us.

'Suggested Contacts' is THE MOST USELESS & ANNOYING feature in Teams.
Why on earth would we contact someone because Microsoft "suggested" we do so ???? !!!!!
The suggested contacts just makes this list really long and I keep seeing names of people that I am likely never to need to contact again.Seriously Microsoft, get rid of this, or at least allow us to disable it

wow, really no fix?! work is mentally exhausting enough, without having to constantly remember now which is my client's old email address and which is their recent, correct one! This kind of thing can genuinely cause errors which make me look incompetent.

I am so FED UP with this suggested contacts ANNOYANCE that I am considering deleting my Outlook account entirely. I DO NOT NEED one time emails from SEVERAL YEARS AGO constantly popping up. It is ridiculous. The WORST feature that nothing can seemingly be done about. And what if my email was hacked? Hackers can then use my oh so useful suggested contacts list to send emails to a billion additional email addresses using MY NAME. Over this ****.

Is there a registry edit to clean out the suggested contacts?

It's insulting for an app to presume to have any clue who I should be contacting for any reason. Please allow removal of this non-feature

Please enhance preferences with an option to "hide" Suggested Contacts.

Suggested contacts feature is so annoying for me personally, that I have started feeling a physical pain. Give me a freedom to turn it off please!

I can only pin or add a suggested contact, I cannot remove the person from my suggestions. This MUST be fixed ASAP. As I keep my chat open all day long, it is annoying to be reminded to contact people for whom I plan to never contact.

If you're not going to remove suggested contacts or allow anyway for people in the list to removed, then please (at the very least!) keep the list collapsed until I choose to expand it again. Let me collapse it and then expanding it the next time I go back to the Recent list is a really poor user experience

This feature is definitely not useful. I see people on the list that I haven't worked with in over 2 years. And the only way I can get someone off my suggested contacts list is to add them to my contacts. That's just plain silly. Give me an option to remove them from suggested contacts at least.

Give me a **** off button! I don't need to see people that I don't even know. This is the WORST thing the hated Microsoft won't face. I've researched for hours for an alternative email. I don't want "features" to help me "manage" my email contacts. Every email I send is unique and NOT worthy of any sort of "management" Leave me alone and don't track **** that does not even relate to me or my interests! Then, DROP DEAD! I'm a Microsoft insider - again YOU NEED TO LISTEN ON THIS ITEM! Stop tracking ME until I "opt in". Get It?
