My theme setting doesn't save when I close out of Teams
save the theme settings

I’m excited to let everyone know that a new build that saves the theme setting is rolling out this week! I’ll mark completed once it’s fully rolled out.
Thanks for your patience!

I hate to think how much money having to save our theme every day is costing our company in productivity. This should be a trivial fix but still has not been applied, at least for teams at my company.

Thanks Aaron. Running Teams as Admin has allowed me to save my settings to turn on new meeting experience.

As of today 09/08/2020 themes are still not saved and reverts back to default.
Back in June 2019, it was apparently rolling out the change????? -

Verified the following issues, and below workaround, in build 1.3.00.21759:
These settings do not save:
- "Turn on new meeting experience"
- "Enable logging for meeting diagnostics"This feature does not work:
- When giving a participant the control of your screen, the participant actually does not gain control of your screen.Workaround:
- Launch Teams w/ "Run as Administrator", then change settings, then close Teams, then relaunch Teams normally. See the settings are saved, and issues are fixed, regardless if "Run as Administrator" is specified or not.Yes, the comment by Anonymous on August 18, 2020 21:02 is correct.

I believe the issue is with settings not saving as a non-admin (I mean administrative user on your computer). If I launch Teams with 'elevated rights' it seems my settings save. They are just not saving when I launch Teams as a 'standard user'

I am also seeing this from a few of my users but it is limited to virtual environments (Citrix CVAD LTSR 1912 on Windows server 2016). Physical laptops or desktops do not seem to have this issue. What is the latest from Microsoft on this? Anybody else seeing this issue?

I have to set each different device i use manually to the correct date time format and set dark mode manually. Is this not rolled out yet? Been almost a year?

I don't think the fix works.. Teams keeps defaulting back to the normal theme, and I need to reselect dark to make it work for the session.

Same here - it always reverts back to the light theme.

Has there been any progress on this, Alex? I still have this problem when I try to use the Dark Theme with the Microsoft Teams web app.

What worked for me was deleting %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams and all other Teams-related folders from Appdata. They were there earlier and for some reason settings didn't want to overwrite.
Deleting these didn't reset my settings either!
