Log out & Quit buttons
Guys, whole world (including your apps like Skype or Skype for Business) has Quit/Exit/Close button on the bottom of context menu, with Team I always end up with logging out instead of closing application. Very simple to change, very annoying if not changed.
The request, as written, I think is now done: "Quit" is at the bottom of the tray menu.
My issue is that right-clicking the tray icon is fiddly and BUGGY. Usually for me the taskbar menu comes up instead of the Teams one. Often the teams one comes up behind the taskbar! I'd like the action to be accessible from the main window somewhere. Or at least an obscure keyboard shortcut. (To use e.g. when I'm switching computers or stopping work for the day.)

My sign out option seems to have disappeared when I click on my user icon, any ideas? I keep getting very annoying notification noises that I can't work out if it's from Teams or where?
Agree. I don't want people to think I'm "Available" any time the app is running in the background. I just want a fast button to kill the app from running in the background, without the need to log-in the next morning when I re-open the app.
Even better, add a scheduler to allow the option for automatic shut down of Teams during regular off hours (e.g. weekends, evenings/nights).

Seriously, this is a must in a desktop application. Where are the product managers that think it's a good idea not to have a quit button. It only makes me want to use the product a lot less.
We installed teams a few days ago and we will remove it as soon as possible.
A program which can't be closed is a virus / malware to us.
It's not like they "forgot" to implement a quit button. MS intends to force its users to run this crap software all the time.
[EDIT]: We just found in the settings the option "Not restart on close" ...

Hey let me laugh out loud with that way of quitting an app. Right clicking the icon more often open the taskbar context menu. I rage about this way. Please a very visible button IN teams to quit the app. PLEASE I bed for such a tiny functionality.

I don't know if there's another way but the only one I found to close Teams is to right click the tray icon and use the Quit there. However many times the toolbar contextual menu appears rather than the Teams one I have to do a right click again on the icon to quit. Would it be simpler that just clicking the RED X in the upper right corner, closes the app and Minimizing would just put it on the tray ?
Why does it take 3 clicks to kill Teams?? This is awful. I want a 'quit' button that signs me out and closes the app. When I start Teams, I want it to sign me in as well.
Please swap the order of logout and quit buttons in the system tray context menu..

It looks like this has been recently fixed.

"Tell us what you think" - riiight, 10 months later, no response for 5 minute change.
Seriously, this would be a 2 second code change on their end. It's seriously ridiculously that this has not been fixed/changed by now.
Very annoying behavior

Please fix this! It's driving me crazy having to re-login all the time.
I am about to entirely quit using MS Teams for this single reason alone.
Who the **** decided this was a good idea?
Every time I want to temporarily close the application, I log out and have to re login next time!
IT MAKES ME FURIOUS
This is an easy fix for a problem that should not have passed the design phase. Please make this happen.
Can only upvote. Every other Application has the Context Menu beginning with Exit at the bottom. Please Change this, I am logging out every time instead of closing the application.

Same here, quit should be the bottommost option while right clicking the system tray icon. Just like it is in tasks when right clicking the pinned task bar icon.
