Bring attention to unanswered threads (Thread overview maybe)
When you add a Thread to a channel and there are multiple threads that come in the same day your thread might get lost and might never get an answer.
An overview of all threads might bring attention to those not answered
Just copy slack

We have a lot of problems with this, it's hard t keep up with all threads. Maybe if we could "close" a thread when the we got the answer needed that could help

Disagree, sorry. I think it's fine as it is.
Indentation could make it worse, what would happen when there is a long stream of replies? It can't be indented for ever.
I vote leave it as it is. Sorry Dale :)
I think if the threaded messages within a Channel were indented underneath the original post, it could be easier to read. Right now, the only indication is the different colors, which is not bad. But I think it can be improved quite a bit.
It's a bit tricky to figure out where the sepration is between messages other than looking for the REPLY text at the end of every post.
Another way to do it is to separate out threads to their own tab kinda like this https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/18507016-sharepoint-discussion-board-integration
That way normal chatting won't "hide" the threaded chat, this also help the other way around. If you are talking about something and a large thread is going on at the same time it can push normal chat messages away. I like the way the competing Ryver chat client does this with the option to "promote" chat messages to a post.

Any chances to use cognitive services to bring more value to the summarized view?
