Increase duration for desktop notifications
The channel/team on which the notification has been made should stay more/better/longer visible so that you won't miss one.
Once support for Windows 10 native notifications is released, users who choose to use Windows notifications will be able to utilize Windows OS specific settings for the length of time to display notifications. Mac does not have an OS specific setting, so will not have the support.

Yes, I miss notifications all the time. It was much better with Skype and Lync. Can't believe they haven't fixed this
Really need to revamp notifications. Currently it is way too easy to miss messages, and this is causing issues with our team. Why not just have a system like Slack does? That one works really well.

Notifications do not currently follow the appropriate Accessibility API standards for macOS apps.
Notifications should not be assigned the AXStandardWindow subrole. Something different should be used such as AXDialog, see https://developer.apple.com/documentation/appkit/nsaccessibilitysubrole?language=objc#declarations

I agree with this suggestion. Without some visual cues it's too easy to lose track of which notifications I've actioned/responded to.

With corporate presentations and screen sharing part of daily work, we cannot have banners appearing on people's screens for Chat (the primary use of Skype for Business before its forced replacement), and with notifications being disabled there is no indication in either the Tray Bar icon or on the Chat icon within Teams that a message is waiting. Until this is rectified, we'll be using Slack.

Notifications need to be more persistent and perhaps larger and "blinky". Most of my teammates complain about not seeing notifications and therefore missing meetings and other information that is timely.
Maybe a similar red dot (with number of posts) added to the "Teams" icon would help; please consider, thanks

I am getting complaints by our management that the notification is too Subtle.. The Toast or glide notification is fine if you are sitting at your desk. But if you leave and return the Red Number is too subtle. They much preferred the flashing icon Similar to Skype, in the task bar to get their attention.

Yes it would be nice to have a sound alert added to not miss notifications. When i am working i often don't pay attention to the small box blinking at the bottom of the screen.

It would be great to get a sound alert associated with someone reaching out to you in chat
pop up, notifications-We are unable to get notification in teams
Can the notifications have the option to have the first line or two of the notification rather than just a reference to which type of message it is? Saves a ton of time to filter by watching the notifications and knowing when to actually go to Teams to respond.
"Again, if you could give us a setting where we could determine the duration of the pop up window, adoption of Teams would be much better."
Pop-up duration is controlled by HKCU\Control Panel\Accessibility\MessageDuration, which can be set by GPO Preferences.
Just note the duration affects ALL popups that use this Windows mechanism.
Unfortunately this doesn't solve the issue of missed notifications, it just gives people longer to notice them!
This is the biggest hindrance to adoption. FIX THIS PLEASE.
Again, if you could give us a setting where we could determine the duration of the pop up window, adoption of Teams would be much better.
For some users - the chat has to be VERY visible. Otherwise they can easily ignore.
For reluctant adapters this is a problem.
Please, give us the ability to set the timing. Even people who love Teams wish they could have the pop up chat window stay until they click on it - there are so many more things to manage now.
It is disappointing that this has not been addressed. We had this with SameTime - and although it annoyed people at first - it proved to force adoption of the product.
Please please please fix ASAP.
Would be great to get an update.
In trying to move from Skype for Business to Teams, the notifications is the one major item that makes it difficult to move platforms - In Skype, IMs are instant and persistent and difficult to miss. In Teams, it's difficult to tell if the IMs are instant considering how easy it is to miss the notifications.
When someone wants to chat with me I would like a window to come in front of any other things I am working on and stay there until accepted or dismissed. Right now I am missing most chats as I can't keep Teams open just to watch for a small dot next to someone...

Poor notifications and missing notifications is the number 1 reason why our office hasn't switched to Teams.
Any updates MS been almost a year? Need to be able change Teams notification & toasts we missed to many notifications since the alerts are to soft. Also need to be able to mute certain channels that might not be important.
