How can we make Microsoft Teams better?

Templates for Planner

Would be good if we could have predefined templates for planner that we can then use for repetitive tasks eg onboarding a new starter.

This is a feature we had in Asana and have lost since moving to teams

I work with campaigns where working methods and flows are often the same. Having a template in Planner that can easily be linked to a Team would be a great time saving for us.

This would be amazing, as most of our tasks are repetitive - have the same checkboxes, same assignees, etc - and our description has the same format so we can make sure the request is conveyed thoroughly. PLEASE make this!

This is a premium feature in Asana and very usefull. For new onboarding people, repetitive marketing activities etc we use this a lot. A big miss in Planner / teams at the moment.

A must have feature to be able to setup "template" type planners that can be copied to a New Planner OR different team within the organization -- the Copying TASK BY TASK is a cumbersome work around... In other packages such as Trello - you have the ability to copy entire boards (=Plan) to a New Board -- with all the default tasks / buckets included..would be great to have this in Planner ..any word on whether this will be available soon?

this would be a very helpful feature as within our big organization templates and repeatedly used work packages including mandatory results maturity are standard.

Templates that can be added to any Team, not just within the channel. The copy task function is good, just apply it to the entire planner, and include all tasks and buckets. Have options to include start date, deadline, status, assigned people.

We have repetitive tasks we have setup that need to be done on a monthly basis for certain clients. We would love to have the ability to setup a Planner template that would be used each month and could be added to our monthly Teams channel. An alternative would be to create the ability to roll an existing planner forward to a new planner and remove all the completed tasks so that it would be ready to go for the new client/period being worked on.

For us, this would almost be as good as a channel template, since the planner tasks are the most time consuming to copy over and set up. We produce a magazine 4 times per year that goes out to 40,000 subscribers, and there are a ton of little tasks associated with writing all the articles, designing everything, etc. We use a separate channel for each issue of the magazine, and being able to copy a plan from a template to the next issue would save us a TON of time.

This is a must have for us... We are currently using basecamp for task management. if this can happen (templates) we could switch completely.
Is there a timeline for this?

would like to be able to post a planner template that can be copied to a channel and tailored for that particular project - same with files and notebooks - would like to post file templates that can be copied as starter files/notebooks for each project.

We would expect MS Teams could help us for the communication in our Spotify org model...Template for planner are really missing here

I would use templates a lot in teams if it were available ecspecially with Planner.

Whenever I use an existing plan as a template plan for a new Teams channel, it modifies both plans, instead of only modifying the plan in the current Teams channel.
