I also get notifications to followed Teams but the annoying thing is that in the app it only shows the notification symbol on the Activity icon not the Teams icon. Surely it should show it over the Teams icon then when you click on that it should indicate which team has the new message/messages?
I get them for Group chats as well as individual chats. - both show a message preview on the notification. If you want notifications for a Team, then you need to "Follow this channel".
Yes, and not only that, but chat notifications show up as a pop-up window on PC for about 5 seconds and THEN DISAPPEARS.
The Notification needs to remain [pop-up window] until you click it, otherwise I rarely see it.

Hi Teams - we are not getting new message notification during group chat
only one to one chat notifications are reflecting under task Bar.
Need to show notification bar on group chat !!
Same issue. I will never get notification unless someone @ me. It makes me lose many discussions while i am in multiple teams/channels
We don't get notifications for new messages or when you directly tag team members. An email or notification on the desktop would be great.
It seems notifications have a hard time getting pushed through as it is, but when someone responded to a group chat, I had absolutely no notification. I didn't know it was there until I weren't all the way back to that specific conversion
Skye for Business will flash and stay open until you respond, and also make a louder noise which is preferred.
you will get notifications for group chats if you @ the channel when you post. we discovered this after complaining about this capability. it's not ideal, but at least you won't have to hunt for bolded channels.
No proper notification while the team is chatting.
Maybe add another bubble associated to the team.
