I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly. This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today. The feature team is continuing to work on support for multiple accounts on desktop and web clients. We’ll keep you posted as we have more details.
Three years to allow accountswitching. Not what I was expecting - I was expecting all accounts to work at the same time.
@john D Shkolnik - The Android and iOS clients allow you to log in to multiple accounts at the same time. You need to switch between them to see their teams and what not but you can access them from the hamburger menu and use the +Add Account menu to add additional logins. For each login, it will discover all of the Teams that your login is part of including guest logins to other tenants.
Most here are asking for at least desktop feature parity for this specific feature.
I run multiple versions of Teams, signed in with different accounts at the same time, until a more appropriate solution is available. How? See this video: https://youtu.be/aCWhRtl9JIY

Alex, no version of Teams supports multiple accounts at the same time. You still have to switch between them.
Wow! I get an email with an update - that basically confirms after 3 years it’s still not done. Whoopee 😀
I am using iOS and it doesn’t support multiple teams account since I am using my company’s login which requires sign on through Microsoft Authenticator app which takes control of the phone and I can have only one company’s account to take control of it.

"The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today" - while this is true, the user experience is subpar when compared to Slack. In Slack, I can have workspaces from multiple accounts displayed at any given time. In Teams, I have to switch from one account to another to see multiple Teams - there is no way to see Teams from multiple accounts at the same time as in Slack.
I would love to see the UX improved to be more suitable to the way I work, vs. assuming I only ever work in one account at a time.

Desktop version would be much more usedul that iOS and Android
However, i would be keen to understand how it works on Android - could someone please email me
Microsoft Teams will not tell me when somebody is calling me, because I selected the other account one hour ago, but it's still showing me as online to the caller.
Do you really think there are other features that are worth more attention? Like showing more faces during a call? We got Teams because of home office during the pandemic, this attention will bite you back, because of this huge red flag you're not able to see.
Hi Alex, Yeah... I hope it's clear what the ask is by most folks on this thread: the ability to have multiple tenants in the same Team app without switching. For organizations that have separate identities in O365 yet want to be able to collaborate seamlessly in Teams, this would be a game changer. I hear for folks that support multiple discrete firms, being able to have multiple tenants appear in a single session would be a huge boon as well... It would be GREAT if the updates from MS could speak to the essential ask here... with perhaps a bit more clarity so that folks KNOW they've been heard AND understood...

As a software contractor this will be a great benefit.
I have contracts with multiple companies that use MS Teams and my nonprofit also uses Teams.
Signing in and out all the time is a bit of a hassle, so I look forward to this update.
Will there be an Insider build release?

Does this mean multiple Work/School accounts in same tenant will work on the same app?
@alex can you explain what you mean by "use multiple Teams accounts at the same time"?
From what I see I still need to switch account in the menu. Yes I can add multiple accounts to 1 Team app, I can't use they simultaneously.

Both of the organizations I want to switch between on iOS require a managed device. Only one organization can be the manager of a device. MS broke this feature before they even released it.
The problem with multiple accounts on Teams for mobile phones is that some companies lock your phone into their MDM, so you can't even add a secondary company/tenant into your Teams client for mobile.
Need Windows client to support multiple logins urgently.
I think what would be interesting is to be able even arrange teams from multiple tenants so you don't have to entirely change your view. Also, it would help if you're joined to a meeting with one identity, but you need to access files via the other identity (like you're an external user for the meeting, but you also have access to the data in that team.
Why would I use teams on my phone? It's terrible enough on my pc.
Android and iOS Teams DOES NOT SUPPORT multiple accounts 'at the same time'. it allows you to easily switch between accounts. THIS IS NOT WHAT WE ARE ASKING FOR. Please try Slack. see how people from many companies and act as a single TEAM.....

Fantastic. I have four accounts and cannot be ready for all meeting calls. Bringing the accounts together is essential.

Not quite true as the accounts have to be in the same tenancy for multiple logins to work simultaneously. I have watched the demo of it working but the concept is wrong, we are looking to be signed into companyX.com and companyY.net at the same time. As others have put you dont get notifications for the non active account. So you only support fast switching in these scenarios, not what we were hoping for.
