I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
Original user posted:
I would like to heave this multi-team/tenant option within “MS Teams”, like in Slack. Currently I’m in four different organization. They’re using all office365, three of them now changed from Slack to Teams. I’ve to permanently login/logout to switch to the related MS Team. This is really time consuming.
Another user says:
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly.
This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
SHARED CHANNELS ACROSS TEAMS
From a merged idea:
Please add support for shared channels which could be used in multiple teams. Suppose there is one company-wide team with multiple channels. It would be great if all teams within the company could include these channels or at least one of them in their own team. In that way you don’t have to recreate the channel for every team again.
Thanks to those of you who participated in the session with our user research team. We are continuing to work on this important feature, and will update you as we get closer to completing. ~ Alex
I just received a notification that Skype for Business for my company will be transitioning to Teams next month. Without support for multiple tenants, this will be a serious disruption to our business as right now we have to use Skype for Business to connect internally as many of have to use (and remain available on) Teams with specific clients. I don't understand how a migration can be forced with this feature not yet available.
Please add this feature, it's really a huge blocker for those who must work in multiple companies.

Hi do you have an estimated release date for that feature?

This is a must in my case because we, as the rest on this thread, are working with several companies each ones with their own O365 tenant. Please add this ability ASAP.
Please, add this feature ASAP. I have just started using this program as a couple of clients are wanting to use teams. I have missed several discussions that has caused a loss of time as I was not logged into that account. Please add this feature.
Yes the lack of this feature is a show-stopper for me. My extended project team spans six different companies and we each have our own corp profiles to log into. Please build this feature!

Please add this feature - it is very frustrating

I work routinely in two "Companies". While they are separate companies with much different presences, there is enough cross that I need to see both companies at whichever computer I am at. This is a pretty important feature.
I hope, you (as Microsoft) are aware, that this problem occcurs in each Microsoft product? (In Azure, O365, Outlook) - so what would be great is, if we could have an account managing app to manage our Microsoft accounts. It would be great to have this on each device (Laptop, Phone,...) and maybe we could even configure which accounts we want to use per device.

Tentative release date? This is one of the few things holding me back from moving multiple tenants off of Slack.
As an IT-partner I have O365 accounts at different companies. When will it be possible to use these accounts simultaneously in Microsoft Teams desktop app?

is there any update on the below request? It's been marked as working on it for over a month and we haven't had any updates since.

Any news on this? We need this so bad.

I think this is our largest complaint. Our end users are Guests in other tenants or have full accounts in other tenants. When they are forced to switch tenants, they miss calls and messages in our tenant. This severely limits communication.
Our end users are looking to 3rd party tools to deal with that, and I'd really prefer MSFT just add this functionality.
It's been a month since the latest admin comment. Is there any newer update?
This is a serious blocker for my organization's full adoption of Teams at this point.
I think this feature is highly important
I am on board of multiple business where I have updated them all to office 365
I have multiple logins but all my emails and SharePoint can be used on the one laptop but teams doesn’t
I would like to see this changed because teams is great for conferences and it has made our communication much easier

This is one of the most annoying features about Teams is that it only supports one "team". I am a consultant as well and work in multiple "teams" but I have to constantly log out and back in again to use them.
