I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly. This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
As stated in the last update, the ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is being implemented in stages for Desktop. Faster tenant switching functionality on the Windows client has been rolled out to the public ring fully, and Mac will begin rolling out soon. Work is in progress on cross-tenant notification improvements, and support for multiple accounts on desktop will follow. We’ll keep you posted!
Note: The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today.
Alex & the Teams team
Need an update on this feature. Something Microsoft may not realize is the more you adopt Teams, the larger this issue becomes. If you use Teams Calling and Audio Conferencing, you lose the ability to receive phone calls while in a different directory/tenant. Calls and meetings also abruptly drop if you are cleaning up email during a call and click a missed Teams message that happens to be in a separate tenant to switch over. No "are you sure" message or anything. Teams just logs you out, drops your call/meeting, and switches over.

I work with many customers at once, and they want to collaborate with me. I refuse to use Teams with them because I will miss important comms from customer C if I'm in Customer A. The way Teams works between organisations is fundamentally broken.
Being able to switch seamlessly between accounts would really boost the usability. IHO Microsoft should put this request in the context of all office (web) applications.
Account switching really is a pain and the result between various interfaces tends to become a (keyboard unfriendly) frustration. I was kinda surprised the office cloud environment isn't well behaved in this respect. Instead having multiple users results in a counter intuitive environment you expect in the old monolithic world not in the cloud.
Any updates on this? Many of our users sign in to some of our external client Teams tenancys. Its extremely frustrating that there is no easy way to be logged into multiple channels at the same time.

the hack is to have multiple profiles with chrome so far or similar on firefox/etc
and run on the web

Same here! Multiple IDs for own consulting as well as for few clients! Can’t operate without multi tenant account else the utility of this product is severely compromised
Need this feature urgently
I guess they meant "Fall Next Year" lol

COME ON MICROSOFT!!!!!!! You're a global leader in IT - why oh why has no-one done this ALREADY?????? It beggars belief you didn't think this was needed from the outset. Dear oh dear! SORT IT NOW. And advertise that you've done it in an easy-to-find way. Get a grip and make your all your products world class. This is an example of a sub-optimal product. Shoddy.
Logged this with support today and pointed directly to this. We have fast tenant switching (not very fast) and we get no notifications from the other tenant so have no way to know when messages are received. - Paul

+1 Impossible to work without this as a consultant.
This would be a game-changer, and very valuable to anyone trying to support more than one company/customer in Office365.
Yes. need this feature - messages should be seamless regardless if internal or external (similar to skype). (Also need ability to import planner templates. Then Teams would work for me.)
+1 for staying logged in to all accounts so that if you get a notification you know to switch.
or multiple business accounts
I don't use teams by choice but if I could get all of my communicatoins (different tennants) in one app I would hate it less.

We are not necessarily looking for just "fast tenant switching". We want to be able to know that when we are in a one tenant, that another tenant has sent us a message via some indicator so we can switch.
Even better would be the ability to have a consolidated multi-tenant view on a single screen. Stretch yourselves to hit that target!
