I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
Original user posted:
I would like to heave this multi-team/tenant option within “MS Teams”, like in Slack. Currently I’m in four different organization. They’re using all office365, three of them now changed from Slack to Teams. I’ve to permanently login/logout to switch to the related MS Team. This is really time consuming.
Another user says:
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly.
This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
SHARED CHANNELS ACROSS TEAMS
From a merged idea:
Please add support for shared channels which could be used in multiple teams. Suppose there is one company-wide team with multiple channels. It would be great if all teams within the company could include these channels or at least one of them in their own team. In that way you don’t have to recreate the channel for every team again.
We know you are patiently waiting for this feature. This feature is being implemented in stages. Fast tenant switching is currently in testing both internally and with early customers. We expect to release to the public in the Fall. I’ll post an update once it’s rolling out.
Full multi-tenant, multi-user support will be added after fast tenant switching.

Probably i will not be that interested in switching accounts , but to have both tenants live simultaneously

This reply helps not at all. What is "Fast tenant switching"???
Please don't forget to support it also on the MacOS app.

For humanity's sake, couldn't this just be implemented by allowing multiple instances of Teams or something? Without this, for our company and B2B customers, Teams is such a wasted opportunity, and makes it difficult to convince both the upper management and the engineering operatives of trusting Microsoft as an org that hears its own customer base.
It really is a show-stopper :(
I'm logged in with my work account but can't access my MIEE Team on my phone without logging out and in again....

For the love of all things sacred... Implement this now! Not just fast switching but a cohesive real-time experience across Teams Accounts -

Do you have a definitive date for release yet?
Is it possible to part of this pilot?
Thanks Sukhi Bains
How can we be added to 'early customers' group if possible?
Looking forward to having this feature up and running! Thanks
I need to get hooked up and added to the "early customers" group to get this.
I’m really wondering if I should switch to Slack (multiple tabs to be signed-in in different workspaces at the same time + shared channels - new/beta) or wait for multi-tenant, multi-user support in Teams. What are your Slack/Teams pro and cons regarding this specific multi-tenant issue?
Agree with Shaun. Need dashboard so I can see activity in all the Teams/orgs I'm part of.
I get really worried when Skype for Business will close down a year from now without multiple account login is working in Teams. Skype for Business is our workaround for this non functional Teams.
I will need to start a transition to another platform during this fall if this is not solved soon. This is a real problem in the consulting business when consultants with more than one customer uses too much time switching accounts several times every day.
Says coming this fall, but I am curious if notifications will work across all tenants? Especially for mobile, I would need to get chat messages from either of my logged in tenants.
is this completed?

I have a work email which is configured in outlook but the email registered for my office 365 account is different. This is a serious problem when i want to integrate outlook with Microsoft Teams and i need this badly. This is the only reason stopping us from using Microsoft Teams in our organisation.

We have fast tenant switching on ios devices, but when will it come for desktop versions?
Nate Richards commented
I see it is live in the mobile app... when will it come to the desktop?

My thoughts are fast switching really does not solve any really issues for me, and should be managed as a separate issue. Right now I need to be able to have at least 2 instances of teams running. Having to sign out of one account to access another means while I am active in a single account I miss all live communications from the other. This is a much bigger issue then speed, and "I think" solving this issue will negate ever having to solve the speed issue.
