I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly. This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
As stated in the last update, the ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is being implemented in stages for Desktop. Faster tenant switching functionality on the Windows client has been rolled out to the public ring fully, and Mac will begin rolling out soon. Work is in progress on cross-tenant notification improvements, and support for multiple accounts on desktop will follow. We’ll keep you posted!
Note: The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today.

Really waiting for this. We are an IT consulting company who would really benefit from this. Having a timeline (aka 6 months, 12 months etc...) would really help us decide if we can just hold off until then or implement a different product.

I am exploring the free version and have given a like suggestion in that UserVoice section.
Teams is obviously designed with the legacy idea of 1 organization (with guests though). I too find this very limiting. As Admin Warren says, I already expected this to be a fundamental challenge to the Microsoft Graph.
E.g. as a user I would want to participate in roles within the organizations of others, but I need more than 1 organization myself too, i.e. family, soccer, tennis club and so on.

How is this not actively being worked on?
Does anyone working on Teams use teams outside of Microsoft? If so, what is their workflow? I don't see how to effectively use Teams if you are split between multiple organizations.
Please give us guidance of best practices for working across multiple orgs until this issue is addressed.

To add a wrinkle to this issue -- prior to the Guest Access feature, I had been able to log out of one tenant and into another with the desktop application, but have now been "locked out" of my primary tenant...and am only able to log into one of my client environments. As a result, i am only able to log into my company tenant through the browser, which limits my Teams capabilities (there is not parity between desktop and browser versions). The issue seems to be at the AAD level as I have exhausted every local option and spent countless hours with support to try and resolve.

for some time now there is an ability to switch between accounts if you are a guest in another tenant.
if we only could have this option expanded as an easy switcher between known tenants.
It doesn't have to be within the same instance opened when I'm logged in with a specific tenant.
Give us a "profile" switcher in that top bar! :)

Yeah, makes you wonder if the name should be changed to "Team" instead of "Teams", doesn't it? Probably the same "Team" responsible for the settings area of Edge...

Yes! Especially when you are on the road as an Consultant and want to work with some clients within Teams on a project (e.g. migrating to and using MS Teams) or want to show the Teams functionality.
I can imagine that this is difficult as there are complex ADFS authentication things going on in the background but i think it would be important to have this feature.
Should be priority. Teams is a collaboration tool and many people (e.g. consultants) work across organisations. I for example run the digital divisions at an established business where I'm trying to get Teams adopted, but also run my own business where we communicate with Teams, but people are asking why they can't use Slack because of sign-in issues on Teams and I'm struggling to convince them of the value. Atlassan just lost the game, don't go the same way - make the user experience frictionless or it will be over before you've even got a foot in the door.
This is critical to the usability teams and for me a significant current roadblock.

Yes please. My day time job uses 365, and so too does my night /weekend organization. Signing out would have me miss out on the overlapping action.

I am Global Admin for 6 different organisations and would love to have full functionality with a single primary login to all Teams in all tenants.
I am dropping so many smaller stand alone applications and replacing them with Office 365 Apps instead.

Until Teams nails this down, it can't replace Slack for me. I'm a consultant who has a set of O365 IDs spread across a different set of tenants... throw an MSA ID in the mix for community collaboration (Users Groups & event organization), and I can't do anything with Teams.
Any ETA on availability? Ready to move all in on Teams, but can't before this feature gets implemented.

I now have access to Teams channels on four different tenants.
Switching between them is slow and clunky. It would be far better if it were possible to be active on multiple tenants simultaneously. Switching between tenants as easily as switching channels & getting live updates from all.
