I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
Original user posted:
I would like to heave this multi-team/tenant option within “MS Teams”, like in Slack. Currently I’m in four different organization. They’re using all office365, three of them now changed from Slack to Teams. I’ve to permanently login/logout to switch to the related MS Team. This is really time consuming.
Another user says:
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly.
This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
SHARED CHANNELS ACROSS TEAMS
From a merged idea:
Please add support for shared channels which could be used in multiple teams. Suppose there is one company-wide team with multiple channels. It would be great if all teams within the company could include these channels or at least one of them in their own team. In that way you don’t have to recreate the channel for every team again.
We know you are patiently waiting for this feature. This feature is being implemented in stages. Fast tenant switching is currently in testing both internally and with early customers. We expect to release to the public in the Fall. I’ll post an update once it’s rolling out.
Full multi-tenant, multi-user support will be added after fast tenant switching.
Hi we are a company of multiple business units. and those business units are on different tenants. A lot of our employees are in contacts with others employees of thous Business units. and we really need this to be implemented. Badly needed feature please expedite. Thanks!.
Really disappointing that this does not work yet! I am so enthousiastic about teams, but the fact that you cannot use it across multiple O365 domains, makes it really sort of worthless for us and we are now looking in to moving to slack, which I would not like. Please makes us happy again!

Friendly ping here on this feature. My company is evaluating slack-v-teams. We'd like to use teams but the inability to be logged into multiple O365 accounts at once makes using Teams untenable. We each work with different clients and those clients have their own O365 accounts.
We don't care at all about federation or sharing channels with external users. We just need to be able to log into multiple O365 accounts/sites simultaneously.

How long are we going to stay tuned?

This is really needed. I've just been added to an internal Microsoft Team for a project as a guest but now I can't access my work Team without logging out and back in as they are on different emails.
This is a must have feature! Please Microsoft Team expedite this.

I echo what others have said here. I use Teams for both my full time job, as well as the non-profit I run. Having the ability to have two accounts open at once would truly save time and strengthen the products usability for many people.
Really need this as a consultant because we use Teams at the customer and at the company I work for.
If there are some complicated issues to support signing in to multiple accounts at the same time, can't it be a workaround to let users install multiple isolated instances of Teams desktop client and let them sign in into each instance with a different account?
Yeah it's not an ideal solution but can be a temporary workaround...
I would try a different browser for each account. Chrome for this team, IE for another, and FF for that team.
Have 3 accounts - very difficult to keep up with all 3 with desktop app/browsers/etc. When will this be resolved? I miss Slack everyday and have discussed going back to Slack with 3 companies in question

I could care less about deep Planner integration since we manage all our work in VSTS; this feature, on the other hand, blocks us from being able to work easily in customers' tenants -- including their VSTS boards -- within Teams!
It would be even better if tabs could belong to different tenants within the same channel.

I think this is an important suggestion. I have a small company where I have Teams running, and I work full-time for a larger company where we use teams, and I have clients in my small company that separately use teams. In all of these cases I am a different account. The ability to have email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org, etc. simultaneously logged in on the desktop and/or mobile would be a very nice addition.
Please bring in this feature. In today’s workplace many of us have multiple jobs and would make life so much easier.
I require this to change from Slack to Teams

As a consultant, this would be a lifesaver!
Yes like it is already in the Administrator App.
This is a must have in the dynamic partner organizational relationships of today’s age. The B2B guest is a start but notifications don’t work right well not at all on the mobile client. If your out of the office and need to stay in constant contact teams is not an option with out this capability. That’s a shame as other products do this. I would prefer to see this before the full Skype calling feature set is mirrored 1-to-1. Especially if you mobile device is enrolled into InTune. You can’t even log out and into another organization that’s blocked. So you either need two or more devices or talk IT into allowing you to get away with an unmanaged device and good luck with that option.
This is crucial feature.

I use a workaround for now if you are interested !
Hoping this user voice will be released asap
Workaround to this missing feature :
I agree with this suggestion "Need to have notifications span all accounts so you know to go into Teams and read a conversation or whatever; clicking the notification should change the account as necessary"
