I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly. This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today. The feature team is continuing to work on support for multiple accounts on desktop and web clients. We’ll keep you posted as we have more details.

As a freelancer I work with multiple organizations who work with teams. To receive the different messages (and pop-ups) and have quick access to the files, it is very inconvenient to need to log-out and log-in every time.
This feature is really needed. Anyone who consults / freelances or works on behalf of multiple clients is going to need this functionality.
January 2017 this idea was posted...you might as well be the Department of Motor Vehicles...
I'm just posting to keep track of the events around this matter. This is certainly a HUGE need. Everyone has posted the reasons. Its just crazy this has been going on for 3 years.
I've just hit this issue. Adding my voice to insure that I'm updated as there is information. It is a real impediment to centralizing activity on Teams.
This is a super simple thing to do on Slack, I don't see why this needs to be so difficult...
Will this be persona aware? We would need to be able to set policies to block data sharing between accounts.
As more of my clients are on Teams it's actually getting harder - not easier - to communicate as I have to keep logging in and out. Although faster switching will be a huge improvement, wouldn't it be better to load multiple instances with different profiles? Similar to the latest Chromium Edge?
If I have to switch, I won't know about a mention for me until I manually switch to the other profile.
I belong to 2 different tenants for work, and am a guest on a few others. It's super confusing that in one tenant I can use the pulldown menu to quickly switch between that tenant and guest in a tenant, but then have to log out completely and log back in with tenant #2 to see those Teams. It should all be part of one pulldown menu.
Not being able to see conversations from multiple tenants (logins) at the same time really limits the usefulness of Teams.
Looking forward to being able to use multiple teams similar to multiple accounts in outlook. Please note that it is necessary to make teams connected to different accounts/mail adresses visible as such. Within a client company, teams such as "our strategy" may have meaning, but if I have n accounts with n teams each, it should be possible to group them.
Will this work with the multi-organization situations as well?
I have only one mail address with 2 different organization out of which 1 is a guest account, but I have to continuously switch between the two

1200 Comments, 15k votes, and 3 years!!! I am really trying not to pay for Slack for our organization, but you are making it really difficult to keep justifying not moving to Slack.

This is a pain, switching to Slack. Promises for years and no results
I need this.

Cross-tenant notifications are still missing (at least in my tenant). I have pending notifications in another tenant where I'm a Guest, but no chance to see them until I switch to that tenant.
(At least tenant switching is fast now :)
Ultimately I'd like to see all the activities, chats and teams a single view without the need to "switch tenants".
I hope this will solve my problem:
1) Join as a guest to someone else's tenant
2) Try to sign up for "Free Teams" so I can do my own personal stuff
3) Always get redirected to their tenant. No way to make my own tenant.
3) Maybe this will allow me to switch to/create my "native" tenant?
Have been following this thread for almost a year now and no changes. Please Microsoft... people crave for this. Slack has it...
Definitely needed. Slack has had this for ages.

So what's the timeline for each of thee milestones?
- "Mac will be rolling out soon" . When? Q1? Did it start?
- "Work is in progress on cross-tenant notification improvements". So does that make it a Q2 effort? Is it also Q1?
- "and support for multiple accounts on desktop will follow" .... follow? It hasn't even started yet? Does that mean Q3?
This is turtle's pace for something that could honestly be handled entirely by the client.
