I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly. This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
The ability to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time is supported on iOS & Android today. The feature team is continuing to work on support for multiple accounts on desktop. We’ll keep you posted as we have more details.

Slack does look better and better, the more I try to use Teams.

Is there any work-around?
Could using 'Franz' be a solution
Due to coronavirus I now have a school and a work MS Teams account. I need this functionality yesterday! I need to receive notifications from both school and work at the same time, I want both of them running in the background when I start Windows!
I am also having trouble receiving notifications on Android, when I'm logged in with my school account I don't receive work notifications and vice-versa.

If you use the new Edge browser, you can create an app from a web page. I logged into my other account on the web and then did the following steps to make it an app. So I can have both accounts open at the same time.
The menu bar ...
Install this site as an app.
A window opened with my other teams account. I pinned it to my task bar. Now I have easy access to both accounts.

Any update on this ? Really important at this time.
Moreover - tenant switching is counter productive.
What users are looking for is multiple accounts simultaneous login, where they can monitor conversations from multiple client accounts - similar to Slack.
"Faster tenant switching functionality on the Windows client has been rolled out to the public ring fully" - This doesn't seemed to be rolled out yet. There is no option of adding secondary teams accounts. Only way to achieve this today is using Edge (chrome) Browser - Apps - install as App - which is a workaround - and loses the whole point of using Teams.

All this investigation and use case storyboarding -- take a look at the product which does this kind of cross-organization channel setup well, i.e. Slack, and do that.
For the love of god, will you *please* get this done. I don’t understand what is wrong with you guys.
This is an obvious pain point for so many users and for so long.
At least give us some kind of update. At least explain why this is taking years.
I’m glad your team can add backgrounds in a couple of weeks to hold off Zoom. Now work on this.
People working cross-organizationally is hardly a rarity anymore. Microsoft’s single person/single organization/single identity mindset hasn’t been true for a long time now and affects more than just teams.
You don’t have to fix Azure AD for this. Just like the Edge webapp workaround, make several separate instances and present them in a unified tabbed interface. Juggling registry entries and data stores shouldn’t be that hard.
I know this doesn’t personally affect any of you because you fit the user model, but a wide swath of us, your customers, don’t.
I’m furious. Still!
This and lack of webhook mentions is why we had no choice but to dump Teams for Slack.
cmon guys we need this
This has been requested since NOV 2016... And STILL not here. Come on guys.
Obviously another +1. AT LEAST UPDATE US.
This is once again terrible support by Microsoft, this has been on the board SINCE 2017!! how are you guys so slow and stubborn to listen to what people want ?
I spent more time typing my password switching between my school, work, client, personal teams account. not very productive.
The amount of RAM it consumes IDLING, running 3 accounts in parallel only sitting in system tray is insane. Dear MS Teams developer team redesign/rewrite it from scratch, dump the current platform, utilise UWP. It's like horrible Skype for desktop vs sleek Skype for Windows 10.
Make Teams an UWP app with beautiful fluent design and distribute it exclusively through Microsoft Store. All new features should be always Windows first. Have some imagination, make it happen ASAP.
How about multiple Teams accounts on desktop (physical) phones based on Android like Yealink. Can you receive calls on any account at the same time, concurrent calls as much as will it ring and can I answer any incoming call? I consult and have 4 active Teams accounts.

It is unbelievable that, in these pandemic times, faster tenant switching and multiaccount is not enabled for Microsoft Teams on Microsoft Windows.

Please get on with implementing this in Windows, how things have changed, the best Microsoft experience is now reserved for iOS and Android rather than your own OS!!
