I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly. This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.
You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.

Working in IT project management means multiple projects with both internal and EXTERNAL suppliers. The functionality to have multiple work accounts is a must, because switching from one account to another, to another is just not good practice. It doesn't do anything for the adoption of the product.
In times like todays' we need fluid and seamless transfers between projects, accounts; which is currently not the case.

Well Salesforce/Slack coming for the enterprise hard. If there wasn’t already motivation on this it’s there now I hope. Even if it’s not the super-elegant “right” way to do it, there needs to be support for this.
Alex, here's another new twist on why this is so critical and urgent (took me a while to figure out this was the cause of the problem):
Scheduling Meeting through Outlook and using the Teams Meeting button in Outlook to generate a link for the meeting creates a meeting that no one can join (even the meeting organizer is sent to the Lobby until another non-existent organizer admits him or her) IF user who created the meeting through Outlook has Teams currently connected to another Microsoft 365 tenant/account than the account holding the Calendar in Outlook.
This is a common scenario for all of us who do consulting. I have accounts at several tenants and need to (painfully) switch Teams between them. If I don't remember to switch Teams to the right client tenant before scheduling a meeting in Outlook (note that Outlook works seamlessly with all tenants at the same time like Teams SHOULD, which makes it easy to forget that Teams is the weak link in the chain) then the result is a broken meeting which is not noticeable until the meeting starts and no one, regardless of M365 security settings can join. Everyone who tries is told they'll be in the lobby until admitted (including the organizer).
This is a big and serious problem that can cost a lot of time and money when dozens of important meeting participants are all affected as we scramble to reorganize the meeting after it has started. Obviously, I agree with all the other comments here about the importance of supporting multiple simultaneous Work accounts. However, maybe this added reasoning will help with the prioritization: it's not just a nuisance, it's effectively a serious bug, because of this problem that directly results from Teams not playing properly with Outlook profiles, which do support multiple simultaneous Work accounts.
Be sure your fix for this includes the Outlook plugin and the puts the meeting both in the right calendar and provides a link that works for accounts in that tenant.

Multiple work accounts should be a high priority - this request seems to have been raised now over years not months. Users cannot work seamlessly and effectively using Teams on the desktop without this function.

Multiple WORK accounts!!!!!!! Now!!
Um... this feature works on your mobile app... why can't you get it onto your browser app or desktop?
Definitely need this, surprised it wasn't thought of during development considering this was also a big issue in that POS Skype for Business. :)
Please! Have to use an account in Chrome and another in Edge and can't use the desktop app! Also can't share screen as the web apps doesn't support it

NO NO NO NO NO.
Not one of us has asked (or wants) a personal account alongside a work/school account.
We need the ability to use multiple school/work accounts.

hi, one solution is to get connected on the web application with one account, and on the local client with the other

Considering this was raised back in 2017 and the latest update is Nov 5 2020 and Microsoft still do not have the ability to switch accounts within Teams is appalling. The assumption that Microsoft do not want you to work with multiple accounts is clearly them not understanding their user base. This should have been a feature from the start. Until it is fixed my clients are using Zoom. Given that there are 2555 comments before me and over 30K votes on this issue since the day it was posted, it clearly is an issue that should be given the highest priority. I note this was only added to the roadmap in March 2020. Over 3 years after the original request for a basic feature.
I need 2 WORK accounts at the same time ! Not 1 work & 1personal...
Now Teams is being used everywhere, this NEEDS to be higher priority
In the meantime I find if I switch accounts, click on the tabs and go back it sorts itself out after several attempts. Not ideal but better that a constant notification!
Please make this a higher priority. This is such an incredible application but left nearly unusable because of this major shortcoming.

WIth your DUA'$ now over 100 million, I suspect this is a prioritization problem, not a resource problem. Please escalate this to critical as without it, Teams is a toy not a tool.
I need 2 WORK accounts, not 1 work/1personal
I agree, this is a major problem as a consultant with multiple clients.
Who even uses Teams for personal things???
