I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly. This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.
You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.
We don't need a tool to switch between accounts. We really need see all acounts directly on teams (like Outlook app if we configure varios email accounts, we receive notifications and can see all in same app without switching accounts). Is really necessary to work; we have our organization accounts, but a lot of our costumers have their own teams organizations where we are invited.

Roadmap shows Feb 2021. Are you guys tracking to this date? Would love to see this feature soon. Thanks for the great prodcut.

With 7 differents teams work tenant, I really bored to have all this ram consuming software started many times parallels using edge app. Come on...

It seems incredible to ME that such a common tool from a company as Microsoft does not have this basic feature, please, it is imperative to release the feature as soon as possible

Now that Teams has allowed 1 org and 1 personal account- desktop should live up to the app and allow multiple organization accounts. I'm a consultant with an additional job and I have 2 org accounts I'm switching between throughout the day for mtgs, files, and chats and I need the ease of switching with a click, as i have on my phone and tablet. Please enable multiple accounts regardless of personal and organization.
This is an absolute pain to use this app without this functionnality. Seriously. The impossibility to have two work account in a app designed for working with teams is laughable to say the least. Please update ASAP.
Please make the Desktop app work more like the Mobile App! On my phone it works great I see one organization at a time but I get notified from ALL organizations and switching between the organizations is easy though not perfectly smooth, it works well.
Consultants have multiple legitimate Office 365 work accounts (company domain) that are used simultaneously. I cannot believe this is not a top priority for Microsoft developers.

Definitely need this. It is not unusual to have multiple Office365 accounts

I have been waiting on multiple windows for many Teams functions for a while. I use multiple windows for all my programs. Isn't that why it runs on "Windows"? How can this not be part of the initial Teams' design? It is like the old Excel in the 1990s.
Please MS, use existing design rules and don't have each development team go rogue.

We need the function multiple accounts
We need the ability to use multiple work accounts, not the ability to add one personal account!. I dont understand how the engineering team got the idea to implement the ability to add one personal account when the initial uservoice request clearly states whats needed.
uservoice: we need apples!
engineeringteam: brings broccoli (and maybe apples for later)
either way, its nice it still is being worked on.
Will the update make it possible to log into multiple accounts in the one tenant - ie a generic or shared account being used for chat support in a service desk scenario?

Why are the new updates enabled by default and not disabled by default?
This can't come soon enough for multiple work accounts. In the roadmap, it looks like the release scheduled for February is only the one announced above to add a Personal account. If the sequencing is a technical one -- it's easier for MS to build the UI and code to support multiple simultaneous accounts via a personal account, so that's just a stepping stone to get to multiple work accounts -- that's fine. Otherwise, it's more like slap in the face. I have not heard ANYONE ask for that. On the other hand, about 1/3 of the people I work with desperately want the ability to run multiple Teams WORK accounts at the same time.

Multiple Work accounts are required
@Alex this is useless unless you add support for multiple work accounts. Who on earth does even use personal/school accounts? 0.0001% of users? I didn't even know that you can register a personal account in Teams...

We need multiple WORK accounts!!!
@ALEX (Teams Engineering). Please can you advise if the same roadmap number is being used for the work on multiple tenants as well as 1 personal + 1 work/school account. The roadmap description is currently unclear to me as it only specific about switiching between ONE personal and ONE work/school rather than MULTIPLE. Is there any further news on the OP's request since your last on Nov 5 2020?
while not ideal, as you wouldn't get notification from teams in other organizations, it would be nice - in the interim at least - if the desktop client had a way to switch between organizations like the android client does.
I'm using the linux (preview) client, so I apologize if this feature is already present in the Windows/Mac clients
