I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly. This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.
You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.
I speak to dozens of people who hate Teams because this is supported. This should hand been released ages ago and was promised in February but still nothing.... very, very disappointed and frustrated; I think we are going back to Asana or Slack

For some cases when we are given guest account to different organizations it would be usefull to merge those chats and teams with the list of chats and teams on your ogranizations' account

Yep, I have one account in teams desktop client and one in browser so I can work simultaneously on both
Microsoft Consultants themselves hate it, because they have to run multiple Teams accounts in browsers.
Dear Microsoft, please hear the people.
Is there a roadmap for the multi-work account support?

iOS version now lets me choose/switch different MS Teams account pretty easily. It would be great if you can at least do the same for Windows version. Of course, better solution is preferred in a long run.

What about having multiple account in the same organization ?
I'm a IT Pro and also the Director of Digital Innovation with 2 separate account in my tenant.
On Mobile apps all works fine, why you don't implement this feature in Desktop app ?

I am working for 2 organisation, Agency as well as client site, So I have two different email ID and teams ID. Take for example Outlook where you can have multiple email accounts configured and can receive mails by not having them to switch between accounts; similarly can I have MS-Team app (or web app) configured so that I can be part of the conversations in both my organization groups/teams and my customers group/teams. It would be more helpful rather than signing out each time via Teams.
The new solution for the desktop app is inadequate. In my case, I have one account through my school and another one through volunteering. It's impossible to keep track of both in any sensible manner, and in the future, there might even be a work account as well.
What is even the point of a personal teams account? The name is "Teams" suggesting that you should collaborate with other people, not use it by yourself. I suggest you rename your product to "Team" until you actually support multiple teams.
Having support in Teams for multiple organizations where you have different email accounts is imperative. So many of us are part of teams residing in different organizations and we must be able to manage that smoothly. It must also include being able to synchronize files locally because some of us are at times off line and we need to have access to those files (you can do this today but only if you work for one organization). Please give us a timeline for when this can be implemented.
The roadmap for item 68845 is NOT for multi-org support! That is a really misleading description!

Do it quick! I work with 5 organisations who are all still using Teams and the challeneges of trying to use it are astronomical. I am actively persuding them to move away from teams. I have already moved two of my companies to Slack and Google Drive and I am working on the rest. Sort this out or prepare to lose another five in the next few months.
Microsoft needs to add possibility for multiple work accounts. The mobile solution aint gonna cut it.
Need Slacks UI/UX solution.
Right now we recommend our customers and consultants to use Franz to be able to run the additional accounts, which doesnt really cut it in the long run.
Why do you ignore us Microsoft? This thread has existed for years and is one of the most active ones, and the solution you add is for WORK and an additonal PERSONAL account.
Do you even read this thread? Is your organisation this unoptimized? What is happening with you?
The functionality exists in the phone app. Add it to the desktop app. Work and personal will not be helpful, as I have 4 work accounts I need to switch between.

Just implement the same UI/UX slack has for their multiple account users. It is AWFUL that I can't see my client's messages in my org Teams and that I miss their notifications as a result. Very poor design, not efficient, not well thought out. You can't beat slack like this.

So far multi-tenant options in Teams mobile has been a disaster. The way it is being added, at least described in roadmap is a reckless at best. It looks more like Teams implementation group within Microsoft don't talk your Active directory and security groups.
You remove the dependency on storing token in common location and allow Electron's native application virtualization... problem solved... we will spin up multiple instances of teams...

Per the anonymous comment from earlier today, one professional account and a personal Microsoft account is not helpful. I consult with multiple clients and have accounts on their tenants. At the moment I have to constantly switch backward and forward, or have multiple PWA windows open to keep track of it. This, more than anything, holds Teams back for me.
Being logged in at the same time in multiple work accounts is what is really needed, switching between 1 work and 1 personal account does not really help.

Ability to toggle easily between multiple accounts needed! Why is this taking so long?
If we can toggle easily on our mobile phone, then we should be able to do it on a laptop or desktop.
