I want to use multiple Teams accounts at the same time
LOG INTO MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
We need the ability to sign in with multiple accounts. Many of us have several O365 accounts for various reasons (consulting, etc), and we’d need to be able to access teams directly. This is not a federation or B2B scenario, but a case where new O365 credentials have been created in another tenant for us. The app today only allows a single signed-in account at a time and that’s a blocker.
The engineering team is continuing to work on adding support for multiple accounts on desktop clients. We will first launch support for 1 work/school account and 1 personal account so users can enjoy Teams for work and personal side-by-side. Windows and MacOS. Support for multiple work accounts is still being worked on and will come at a later date.
You can track status via the roadmap here: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=68845.

It is obvious for us in consulting for different companies that we need to be able to use all of our o365 accounts in teams jus as we do in outlook etc. This is a big disadvantage if this isn't implemented asap
When will this be done commented
If slack can do it, why can't you guys?
Please get this donw asap. Clients are staying / migrating to Slakc becasue the multi-workspace is not available.
Switching ORGs everytime is NOT a solution :)
Microsoft development team managed to work on removing fullscreen mode, then reverting it back, adding "together mode", because someone thought it will be fun, rearranging layouts many times, but not putting any effort into multiple accounts support. In my company, such useless developers/designers would be fired because of wasting time, but thats MS, and users are somewhere behind impenetrable Support wall. 4 years after first promise was given!!.. That definitely means that MS does not care if they fulfill their promises or not.

Is there any update on this topic? The "working on it" flag has been applied half a year ago and still there's no working implementation!

im 100% with jay below, this not existing is laughable at best...

4 years later and this is still not available. After the recent updates starting Teams from a bat file per this page:
Which is supposed to allow one to have multiple application instances running each with a different profile is now failing. Slack does multiple accounts across the board. Teams should too!
That we have had to HACK this kind of solution together or use multiple browsers to allow login for multiple workplaces is ridiculous.
That Product Management thought that this would be addressed in any way by adding the ability to add a personal Teams account in addition to a Work/School one is laughable. Nobody is using Teams for personal communication that's what WhatsApp, SnapChat and others are doing. We, however, have to use it for work exactly where things fall down.

Please make this happen ASAP. NGO volunteers often have school/work accounts besides the account provided for them to participate in the voluntary NGO work. The restriction against switching between these accounts in the Teams desktop app causes abysmal user experience, and it is making their voluntary efforts less efficient, more frustrating and poses a risk of undermining their motivation.
How was I able to be a member of multiple organization's when I worked at my last job - and now I have moved organizations I am no longer able to do this?

Basically Teams is pretty useless for business users (especially Enterprises) without this feature. Given that Microsoft have targeted Teams for Businesses this is a huge problem with MSFT’s product management - the product owner should really be replaced with someone who understands the client’s needs.
If only there was a competing product that allowed us to do this....!! I guess we should all dump Teams and move to that (Slack maybe?)
Freelancer/designer working with multiple clients/companies who each use teams. I look forward to the addition of this feature so I can toggle back and forth between them all.

No!! not a personal account - couldn't care less, we want Support for multiple work accounts!
i.e. I need to speak with and join people from my organization and from my external programmers on another teams. we gave them logins to our tenant, but they are having to use Web client and Desktop client to be signed in twice at the same time, and then when their phone starts ringing, oh my gosh things become a mess, if you miss the call, you can't call back.
Literally the only reason to have multiple accounts is to support multiple organizations i.e. multiple work and/or school accounts. How can this possibly take this long?
Speaking only personally -- I will never use Teams for any thing "personal" in nature, it is a workplace organization app (just like the rest of MS Office is a workplace app first and foremost as well).
I would rather have support for multiple enterprise Organizations *far* more than I want it to allow a personal account to log in.
Additionally............................why on earth would I *EVER* want to log into my personal Teams from a work-owned work-managed computer???
Microsoft, please don't get caught up in trying to be the next Apple, you're an enterprise company - please put the bigger priorities first!
Nevermind. A reinstall of Teams did the trick. I now have 3x desktop Teams applications running happily :-)
I used this https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams/multiple-instances-of-microsoft-teams-application/m-p/1306051 for months to run 3x desktop instances of MS Team. Yesterday it worked, today after some Windows updates it does not. I am no programmer so I do not understand the error. Any help here please?

Doesn't answer the primary issue - am an admin of multiple organisations and need to switch - not be invited as a guest

1 work/school and 1 personal doesn't work well when my 1 work/school isn't an O365 account and my personal account is the same phone number. As an individual contractor I still need to have separation between my accounts.
This should be a top priority issue. Support for personal accounts is nice to have but misses the original objective.
