macOS - Don't quit the app when I close the window
Mac apps, especially something like a chat client, should not QUIT when the user clicks the red X to close the window, as it does for Teams.
The red X should only close the WINDOW, but the app should remain running and logged in in the background.
Clicking the dock item should re-open the window instantly to where it was previously.
I find myself having to reopen Teams dozens of times a day, as well as missing important messages because I didn't realise the app had actually quit and not stayed running in the background.
Hi everyone, thanks so much for your feedback. We have this fixed with release of GA.
Hope you all have experienced the fix and app must be running in background even on closing the window.

Well, you say it's fixed but there is no way to open a new window once you close the main window. So, I'm forced to kill the program and re-open it in order to use Teams.
I use Teams version 0.7.00.401 and I have this problem.. It says it's fixed. Where do I get the fixed version?

This already exists: Settings --> Application --> On close, keep the application running

this request is "so mac". :)
I cannot even get the app to download on my MAC. I use the web version and it is very slow. I get an email well after something was posted on chat.
Just got a teams update and this seems to be fixed. Thank you!

Also, when pressing cmd + W it should not quit the app. Thanks!
THIS. I accidentally close out of Teams numerous times each day, and due to the lacking notifications, I miss messages constantly.
Definitely not ideal for a product that is supposed to improve workflow and productivity.
The app not closing with Command+Q is more annoying than it closing with the red X. Please fix both.

Not using the product because of this bug. Please fix.
Didn't always do this. Seems within the last 2 weeks this issue has occurred.
Yes very annoying, I realize I have not been active in teams hours after hitting the "x" which should not quit the app.

Not sure what update created this issue, but it needs a rollback asap! Many team members are unwittingly finding themselves logged out several hours after attempting to "close the window", making them unavailable through Teams. Not good!
Current workaround is to keep Teams in a "Fullscreen" window (green icon), but still far from ideal.
