copy & paste pictures
Would be nice to make it possible to post pictures directly into a Team channel form anywhere (browser, files, etc)
I’ve gotten feedback from the feature team that copying images into chat should work, but different than you would expect with external images. External images pasted into a message will show up as a link. Prior to the update, pasting an external image simply broke.
If you wish to paste an external image and not have it appear as a link, then you will need to past it into the clipboard and then copy the image from the clipboard into the message.

Paste the image into MS Paint, then copy back out into teams. Appears to need to be in the windows meta format. POOR WORK GUYS N GIRLS!
Also the ability to copy more than one item in a conversation would be amazing.
copy my images
If this becomes a feature, can we please have the option to restrict it. This is not ideal in a classroom setting. Some students post inappropriate pictures

Still an issue in MS Teams for me. Cannot use copy/paste into Teams. In some cases it works if pasting it into Word first. Please fix this.

The only way I can get this to work is to paste the image into a word document, then copy it from there, and paste into teams. Apparently the (occult) markup added by word is necessary.

some experimentation showed the following:
1. if one uses onenote to screen clip an image and paste it directly into the Team Chat, the image shows fine
2. if one right clicks on an image, selects copy, and pastes it into the Team Chat, only a blank box the size of the image appears.

For me, I am unable to copy an image from the teams chat. The image appears to be a few cells of a spreadsheet captured by the MS Snipping Tool. I ended up using the snipping tool myself in order to capture the image. Awkward at best...
I don't think there are any logs for pasting images. I looked in 'get logs' but nothing shows.
It just doesn't work. Right-click image in chrome, copy, paste into teams - nothing happens.
As a workaround you can open paint, ctrl+v, ctrl+****+x (crops), ctrl+c, paste into teams.

I am using Mac OS Sierra. Until this week I was always able to save images onto my desktop from within Chrome. Now I am unable. Also cannot drag and drop items from within Chrome to my desktop. However, I am able to accomplish said tasks using alternate browsers. I have used Chrome's reset in advanced settings and the problem remains.
Would be nice to have this feature, just migrated from slack and miss this feature! Copying images from anywhere and pasting images in our chats.

Tried to copy an image from Chrome and paste into a Teams Channel and it does not work.
It also does not work in Edge, Firefox, or IE.

@Suphatra, can you please clarify which logs you need, and, how to obtain them.
@Adam I had the same result from Chrome. I keep documentation in OneNote 2016, when trying to copy/paste from OneNote, I get the same 'blank boxes' within Teams as I get when trying from Chrome.
Right click picture in Chrome > Copy Image. Can not paste into Teams. Image does not appear at all. As a work around, I am clipping the image with OneNote 2016 and then pasting it into teams.

Not working on Desktop Client or Chrome.
I tried copy/pasting from a Word Doc. Outlook email, and only the place holders where an image would be are present. No photos get pasted in.

It's not working for me with desktop application in Windows 10.
I've just tried this today from Chrome, with a .png image copy and paste and it does not work (in both web and app version of Teams). Tried the same image from IE11 and it worked. Tried different file types from Chrome, it sometimes work, so its inconsistent. I think it need some refinement.
This does not work if I copy a GIF from Chrome.
copy image (on right click) does not work - but if I take a snip it seems to.
Not working - shows image for a minute than disappears and shows icon. or can be seen on my side but not by recipient. this is desktop
