Fix pasting of images
Pasting images is somewhat supported - see https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public-preview/suggestions/16925587-ability-to-paste-images) but is not correctly implemented (at least on Windows).
Using Google Chrome, if I right click on any image on a webpage and select "Copy Image", I can not paste it into Teams. I can paste this on competitors products, such as HipChat and of course into MS Paint.
There are different issues pasting from other browsers. Edge and IE both paste a blank image. Firefox has similar behavior to Chrome (nothing is pasted at all).
This is a very common use case - pasting an image from a web page. Please make it work!
You should experience significant improvements in copy & paste of images within Teams, as well as to & from Teams. We are aware of a few remaining issues, but the most common cases are resolved.
Thanks again for your patience on this one.

Recently installed Teams desktop app, and just thought pasting images just wasn't supported (which would be ridiculous given a built in GIF and Meme creator). Good to know this is just a bug.

Starting in the last 48 hours I'm unable to paste images(still or GIF) into Teams chat. There's no errors or anything. Just acts like nothing happens. Right click menu shows something to paste.
When an inline image is clicked to full-frame image view, there is a right-click context option to "Copy Image". However, nothing is copied to the clipboard using this option.
I'd like to be able to paste images as well as text in to chat.

ctrl+v works in Team conversations but not in direct chat

Certainly not working for me and hasn't since the Fall update. Prior to that it worked. I'm now boycotting the edge browser in favour of chrome, where the copy and paste facility works fine.

Copying an image from a chat to a OneNote fails. The copy operation seems to work, but the paste just shows an image with a x in the middle. See the attached image.
It would be nice to be able to not only copy an image, but also select text and images to copy. Currently not even images can be copied.

Still not working most of the time.

When you copy something from teams and paste it in to for example onenote or word, pictures become all white/blank
Copy-paste of screenshots from SnagIt 14 is not working either. Copy-paste from SnagIt 14 to MS Word works, though.
Also, pasting the image from SnagIt 14 to MS Word first, and then, copying it from MS Word to MS Teams works as well, however, the resolution gets reduced -- which is bad.
for a week ago I could copy an image from the internet and just do ctrl+V in the chat and it was added nicely - this has now stopped working and I have to download and upload...

Let us paste images into the chat. I need to show coworkers screenshots when I need help troubleshooting questions.
please allow send images in a simply way (Copy-Paste) as in skype
Almost 2 months and still not resolved, really Microsoft? This needs to be fixed, NOW.
This works for me but the resolution for the image is really low and you cant click on the thumbnail to get a really good look at the image

I noticed that this still isn't working in the current build. Copy/paste shows the image in my chat view, but it doesn't appear for others, and disappears if I navigate out of the channel and back.
