Remove the need to constantly log in
Something has changed, but over the past 2 weeks, each time I reboot, or even resume from sleep, I'm presented with the SSO/ADFS signin page within Teams. As most users don't even notice this, most remain perpetually logged out, defeating the purpose of Teams.

Could it be AD settings? We have never had this issue. Neither on desktop nor on the mobile app.

I just got my Managing Director and his team to start using Teams. And this is the number one complaint. We are a bunch of consultants always on the go with our laptop, so it's constantly being shutdown, restarted, etc And everytime that happens, they are forced to sign in...while their Outlook, Skype, etc. don't.

Staying signed in is kind of necessary. From a security perspective, it doesn't add much since the software data sits in plaintext on disk anyway. At least that's what it looks like.

I leave several key applications (Outlook, etc) active only desktop unless I need to reboot my computer. Teams will auto-sign me out after some duration, whereas no other application seems to.
Please keep me signed in unless I close the application and allow it to save credentials/auto-sign in on startup.

this applies to the Mac as well.

I'm forced to log in again after power on/restart. Please add option to remain signed in.

Desktop app doesn't support single sign on. Users have to sign in explicitly.

You only need to store the refresh token somewhere on the device to be able to do this. Should not require any massive effort.

It seems that if you leave the teams window open, you will stay logged in. At least with the Mac Desktop client. But if you minimize the teams window either on the Mac Client or the Windows client, you will get logged out after some unknown period of time. This is problematic for all of our users on both platforms.

I think this is crucial. The time-out UX is very frustrating. I've come back to my computer after a few hours away; I log back into my locked computer but Teams has timed out. I put in my password, it rejects it saying that my login session has timed out. I reload the login page. Finally get in. That just screams 'annoying'.
A typical user will put up with that once or twice, but after that they just won't log in again. That's the behaviour that I'm expecting to see if we pilot teams. A few days of discussions and then silence.

In the mac version, I must enter my credentials every time the app launches - including any time my session is logged off. The app should remember my details and log me in automatically, as Slack and even Skype for Business do,

Has this not gotten enough votes yet? Please make this happen soon.

Agreed! This is frustrating having to login every day.

Hi,
Why do I need to login every time I start the App? Should at least be able to add a "remember me" function

This is incredibly bothersome and it's probably 80% of the reason I will be avoiding Teams for communication. I'll be happy to use Teams once I can stay logged in for longer than an hour and auto-scroll is an option.

Easy - all the other apps in the O365 suite at least remember my username. Logging in from scratch every time is just one more step...
