Custom URI handlers
Hyperlinks with non-http or non-https prefixes do not currently work such as M-Files URLs that begin with m-files://
Please allow at least admins enable these custom URI handlers in Teams. They work perfectly in Slack :)

It is for us really important, too! mailto: and other custom uris should (may optional) not be "validated" but simply be printed as its original hyperlink! Like Slack or Mattermost.

Same request here. It would be great if mailto: callto: or tel: links could be added as text in chats or channel posts. Currently these return as invalid.

We use a custom URI scheme / protocol handler to collaborate on internal documents that are not otherwise linkable. If Teams recognized non-http URIs as links, it would enable us to share links to those documents easily.

This lack of functionality is so annoying. It makes it very difficult to use Teams for communication - people go back to email because stuff works there.

Yes, PLEASE DO assuming that all hyperlinks start with http/https is a rather outdated concept

Not able to open URLs with a custom URI scheme is really annoying and can be resolved really quickly and easily.

Yep, this is a reasonably big deal for me as well. I echo other's statements in that I can't believe it's not in the product already.

We would like to start using Teams but this is a major obstacle as we are not able to create links to HCL (formerly Lotus) Notes Documents (notes://). The confusing thing is, that user can copy a document link via copy/paste and it looks like a real link to Notes document but after saving the post the hyperlink remains but internally the link is cleared. As a result, the link looks like a real hyperlink to a notes document but it does not work as expected. I would expect that such hyperlinks will start to work in the future releases.

Please add this function. It works everywhere in each browser but not in Teams, in these days this is so needed! We want our application to integrate with Teams.

Please add this, as it is a major part of our work. Otherwise, we will have to needlessly send emails, when we could be using Teams more. Thank you.
