Using Teams Offline
MULTIPLE USERS reporting offline needs:
Generally want to use Teams offline:
If I am offline it would be great to browse through Teams and Channels in case I have to lookup some informations.
Also viewing the latest notes in "Notes" on teams would be great.
It would be enough to have "Read only" - for the moment my Teams app does not even open when I am offline
Compared on my mobile - I can read all posts while I am offline.
Edit while offline:
just been using teams wiki to take and share notes in a meeting. when the connection dropped we were all kicked out of the teams application and weren't able to read what had been put. when the connection came back up, half of the notes were missing. There needs to be better handling of offline mode and a way to carry on working and sync changes when the connection comes back or at very least a way to read offline
Sending messages to offline contacts:
I had thought this was already the case, but it would be nice if we could send private messages to Teams contacts who are offline, and have that message pop up for them whenever they next log in.
There are instances when I have a thought I would like to share with a co-worker and it would be helpful if I could send them a private chat message that they will later receive, regardless of whether they are currently online or not.
Access files offline:
I need to do this on our construction sites.
We are working on a better experience in Teams when a user is not connected to the internet. No timeline to share at this point, but we will keep you posted.

Or in additional to this, we can specify the msg send time, like "delay delivery" in Microsoft Outlook

Offline access, offline file access violates the everyone needs a subscription for ever cloud hosted application model.
Not in Microsoft's interest to do this.
People badly seeking for offline feature. Take this on top of your TO DO priority list. It’s a must have item.
This is basic. Just like email, I should have a local cache to see old conversations even if I'm not connected.

Would be especially useful for Tasks as currently I have to use Trello on my iPhone whenever I'm offline. Really breaks the experience.
is there any status on this "wish" the last response/update was more than a year ago.

I would appreciate if you could add offline mode while working in calender. Most of the times I am making my arrengments in calender in late times in night and I do not want to be sending some cancelations and postponements to my team immediately before final schedule fixed by me.
Thanks in advance
I need to be able to upload presentation when I am remote and do not have network access. I have teams and office on my latptop, so I have all the tools but not the facilities, please can you let us know when offline working will be accessible. Even if I have a 4/5G connection, some of the presentations are large, and take too long, and some take too long on-line
Slack chat is working offline mode Internal Network. Teams no :/.

This is a deal-breaker! Appreciate ETA on this.
what's the status of this?

I frequently need to work offline, e.g. on the plane. At the same time I use Teams extensively for collaboration and communication and not being able to access my chats is extremely limiting my work in this scenario.
Should I wait for Elon Musk to complete deployment of his satellite Internet?
I can go back and read my conversation in Skype for Business while offline...but not in Teams. I've been trying to make a case to switch from Skype to Teams, but this is a crucial feature we need before we switch.

So annoying for anyone who use a lot fo planes and is trying to use Teams! Please push the ability to use Teams offline up your backlog

Working hard I assume?
Nothing to share?
This is a very necessary feature...I was traveling recently and could not read posts and work in Planner or on Files. Teams should be like Outlook where you can work offline and it syncs when you reconnect.
Having invested time to set up tasks, to now find that Teams Planner is not available offline is extremely annoying. Whoever in MS thought this would NOT be needed needs to get out into the real world.
Microsofts suite of products hinges on the fact that one can be productive with spotty / no internet connection. Teams is great, but if zero content can be accessed (let alone edited) offline it defeats the purpose....

Yet another vote - offline access is a must. Kind of a huge oversite...

Teams is an otherwise excellent platform, but offline capability is a big gap for me.
I don't spend a lot of time working online as the majority of my time in working hours is meeting people. My personal work is done while travelling - on trains (where wifi is not reliable enough to be useful) and on planes (where Internet access is poor / non-existent / expensive). It is actually useful to be offline in these circumstances as it removes distractions.
I suspect I am not alone in this way of working, and since the people who work like this are likely to be making the decisions about when to roll out Teams, I think MS could at least give us regular updates on progress?
