Let us make the font size bigger (Zooming)
Make a way to make the font size in the application bigger.

The zoom feature has released to the public ring. Using CRTL + or CTRL – zoom in and out on a Windows PC.
I need to correct the information I provided last month about MAC. It appears the MAC version is still in testing and hasn’t yet gone out to the public. It is “In Testing” but will be coming to the public soon!
The item tracking this specific update can be found at: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/admin/v3/suggestions/16933183/activity
There now is a UI element that tells you your current zoom level and a Setting within the UI to preset your zoom preference.
Since the zoom feature could very well cover the vast majority of user needs, based on the majority of comments and feedback, I will flag this item as Partially Done.
Thank you for all the feedback and support!

I would like to be able to set a custom font, size and style for chats etc in Teams like you can in Skype for Business. The Zoom feature is not very good as you can't set the increments that the application zooms in. They seem to be preset.
I have zoomed the text so large that the chat list is hidden. You have to click on the chat button to get it back. This sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work. I end up having to reduce to text size to find the chat bar again.
I like the app but I think the font size issue needs a lot more work.

Windows 10 just updated and now using Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.21759. I can increase the font fine in the main application and in the chat windows. My issue is when I join a meeting the font in that window is so tiny I cannot read who has joined, the participants window font is too small to see who is in the meeting and I cannot follow comments posted in the meeting chat window. I can find no option in this window or in Teams to change the font while IN a meeting. The font settings in the main application window are not applied to a meeting window. This is a serious ADA violation. My previous version of Teams did not have this issue.

Over two years ago this was marked as "partially done" and still Microsoft has not fixed this major accessibility issue that pretty much every other messaging app since the beginning of time has managed to figure out. For comfort and ease of reading, I need to be able to change the font size and color in my messages. The way it is now causes me a lot of pain. This is ridiculous and Microsoft should be ashamed.

On the pop out chat, please.
Also would prefer this being in global settings somewhere instead of zooming the borders/menus as well. -

For the popout window this is an accessibility fail. Is this compliant with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), probably not.
Also WCAG 2.0 recommends "text can be resized without assistive technology up to 200 percent without loss of content or functionality"

This helps... but there are TWO problems:
1) Increasing the GUI size means it now steals even more screen real-estate. Why can't I tell the app I want the fonts sized up 140% without sizing up the GUI?
2) You forgot the pop-out chat window. I can at least read the contents of the main window. The pop out is useless to me because it's so tiny I cannot read it.
By the way, please don't reply with "oh, well, just adjust your font scaling in Windows." I'm a software developer, so I know that is sometimes an option. Unless you are forced to use some legacy applications that don't handle Windows font scaling correctly.... and I am.
So, PLEASE, just make the fonts more configurable in the Teams application!

I don't see how this can be marked as partially done. While I can use windows + to magnify the chat window, It does not allow it to be functional AND see the magnification. When I am using the pop out chat on Teams on my laptop, I use a split screen. When I magnify, I can see just a small portion of the chat and cannot see the text entry point.

We have students who use Dolphin SuperNova as both magnification & screen reader, which is not compatible with Teams. The problem with using the ctrl button is that is can mess with settings with some other software like screen magnifiers. We need a way to make all font bigger automatically.

+1 on Mike Strobel's comment.
I was very excited about the pop-out chat window, but the font is minuscule. This is a serious accessibility flaw.

Leaving aside the fact that changing the zoom level is fundamentally different than changing the chat font size, the zoom level seems to only affect the main window. I cannot find any way to change the zoom level (or font size) in pop-out chat windows.

I was able to enlarge the words in Teams by first making it the active window and then holding the Control Key and the pressing the + key.

That is true, like Skype for Business, the font needs to be altered without the change in User Interface. This would be helpful change for lot of users.

Funny, that doesn't address the issue at all. What is needed is a way to set the user default font settings in Team. Zoom is a completely different issue. That doesn't help me a bit.
