Webhook needs to support forced notification a la "@channel", "@team", "@person"
Webhooks should have a property to force notification a la "@channel", "@team", "@person". I have been using Slack webhooks for notifications out of our monitoring platform and can use "@" tags to make sure that the correct channels get the data and if the condition is severe, notify "@channel".
This feature request is now under review.
I’ll update this topic as we move through the decision process. Thank you for the suggestion.

@Warren - please make sure that the @mention functionality is available for all connectors and other tools such as Flow to make sure the right people or departments/teams can be notified in a channel when an action is complete or has been assigned to them. This is not just a webhook requirement.
@Warren Its been a month now. Can we please have this.
How is this not already included.

We really need this feature.

There are a few different entries on this, can we combine the votes?

i need this too, please upgrade it ......................................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we need this.
@Warren - it's been over a month. Can we have an update please?
Surely a must have feature if MS Teams is ever to compete with Slack
@Warren - The lack of any meaningful communication on this has been disappointing bordering on calamitous. Please can you give an estimate (not a commitment just something so we know when to revisit this thread) as to when an update might be posted?
I would also hope that that post would include a ball-park idea of when this feature will be implemented - 12months+ is a useful thing to know as Hipchat is about to convert to Slack and one way or another I will need this feature (currently with HipChat but want to be with Teams).

You guys take long to do your reviews. Ping engineers with @mention get them to do it quicker.

I am happy seeing this as Under Review. We have Azure DevOps pipelines that send notices to our Teams channels. If we get @ mentions working, that will make it easier to alert our devs in our CI process that something went wrong.

Thank you for updating this request to Under Review! We are looking forward to this feature.

A little late for us. We already decided to move to another platform because of this lack of a basic feature and lack of response.
Welcome, @mentions are a very important tool for us to organize and control a personalized flow of information, the current problem is sending notifications to all users tracking a given channel of notifications, while a specific message on a channel concerns each time someone different and a different number of people from about 200-person group (the people affected by the message is defined by automatic scripts). Currently we are writing these people down on webhooks but it requires an additional person who will remember them in the comment. Therefore, if you care about your users, you should solve the problem, which has been publicized for several months. An alternative for us is to describe how to add messages/comments containing mentions by Powershell or other scripts.
We look forward to receiving any response in the near future.
Thank you and Greetings
Almost happy user.
Was really surprised this doesn't work, so many workflows require it. Anyone have any alternative ways to deal with this?
Ok... So I've contacted O365 Support (again) and they can't get hold of the MS Teams team directly or otherwise, even via management structure (crazy I know). I've tweeted MS Teams and had no response.
I've clicked on the 'star' in bottom right and got nothing back.
My last attempt at getting someone to respond to this has been to duplicate this request here (https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/35204041-webhook-needs-to-support-forced-notification-a-la) and hopefully that will trigger someone somewhere to actually look at this.
If this doesn't work does anyone have Satya Nadella's number?

Maybe I should go back to Slack...
