Thank you for providing feedback.
Most of suggestions regarding improving translation in Teams were implemented.

Please, post a separate suggestion If you will find that previously reported by you issue wasn’t addressed completely.

    VERY wrong french translation to mute notifications :
    Current : "Réactiver / Désactiver le micro", which means "Activate / Deactivate Microphone".

    It has NOTHING to do with notifications and is super misleading.

    Should be something like "Réactiver / Désactiver les notifications"

    Windows 7, windows gezgini ile işlem yaparken cursor'ü bir file'ın üzerine getirdiğimde açılan pencerenin en alt satırında "Klasörü boşalt" mesajı görünüyor. Halbuki o mesaj; "Boş klasör" olmalı. İngilizcesinden yola çıkarsak, "Klasörü boşalt" için "Empty the file" gibi bir mesaj olmalı. Oradaki "the" bu anlamı verir. Yani "oradaki empty, fiil olarak anlaşılır. Oysa "Empty file", bir sıfat tamlamasıdır ve bu durumda "empty", sıfattır. Boş olduğunu gösterir. Sonuç olarak, o mesajın, "Boş klasör" olması gerekir. Saygılarımla

    "5 Antworten von Sie und Max" muss korrekterweise "5 Antworten von Ihnen und Max" (förmlich) oder "5 Antworten von dir und Max" (informel) heißen.

    In Danish when someone likes a message, the activity feed says: "Troels gave your message a heart / Troels gav din besked et hjerte" with the thumbs up icon right next to it.

    When organizing a live event, after having chosen permissions and production type, the button that in english says "Schedule" is translated to "Tidsplan" instead of "Planlæg"

    French translation issue at the bottom of a channel, in the watermark of the text box used to start a new conversation.
    In English, the watermark state "Start a new conversation. Type @ to mention someone".
    In French, the watermark state "Tapez ici. Utilisez @ pour mentionner un contact." wich translate to "Type here. Use @ to mention a contact" in English.

    We lose the information that typing in this text box will in fact start a new conversation instead of posting a reply.
    It's quite confusing for new users, a lot of them make the mistake when they learn how to use Teams.

    Thanks for not using Canadian French for French (France) users. Terms like "téléverser" or "Clavardage" are maybe astute, but not used in France.

    Bonjour, effectivement les dates "françaises" sont différents. Pourtant l'ordre d'affichage YYYY/MM/DD seraient plus "UNIVERSELLES" J'espère que la translation des commentaires dans les autres langues seront correctement traduites.

    Japanese translation for "Follow this channel" is hopeless.
    I couldn't make it out what it means.
    I think "このチャネルをフォローする(kono channel wo follow suru)" is appropriate.
    Strangely its translation for "Unfollow this channel" is alright.

    In french, dates are DD/MM/YYYY or DD/MM
    But not MM/DD/YYYY or MM/DD.

    French version:
    In the Wiki tab, I get this:

    "Page sans titre
    Dernier enregistrement : Il y a 7 m"

    I suppose that "7 m" = "7minutes"

    The german speaking Version has some english text as well, for example "You will see mentions, replies and other notifications here." in the menu for "Aktivitäten"

    OMG, this is bad...
    Gratuit : Aucune suggestion trouvée

    think Gratuit is for "free". Get gratuit is free as $0 in french...
    Please change your translator, it's a catastrophe

    Super important feature for us. I'm working for Chinese company and not everyone can speak english. So some team members are translating from Chinese to English, some from Eng to Chinese. So far we've worked on WeChat and it was ok, but now we moved to Teams and it's not OK anymore.

    I believe this is very important requirement for Chinese market, as we can not use Google ecosystem correctly, we're kinda forced to use Office365 and most of Chinese tech companies hire global ppl

    Improvements there: Remarques has become OneNote. seems chaîne has been the chosen word everywhere

  • Seb NG commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

    1) Align french translation with what the SharePoint site french translation :
    Tab "Fichiers" => Documents
    Tab "Remarques" => Bloc-Notes
    2) French grammar mistake : you use "chaine" and "canaux" for the pluriel of "chaine"
    I recommand as Romain mentionned
    Chaîne => Canal (1 chaînes, des chaînes VS 1 canal, des canaux) :-)

    3) some forgotten translation :
    "private" => Privée

  • Martin commented  ·   ·  Flag as inappropriate

    As well as "Remarques" which never points to Notebook / OneNote in any of Office environment. Bloc-Notes is more appropriate.

    When you write something, it states what you said like:

    You: Hi!
    In spanish you're using the formal translation for you 'Usted', which is uncomfortable for a user to read when coming from a computer program. You can use 'Tú' instead, which is the informal form.
