Animated GIFs in conversation
I keep reading that you've integrated it but I don't see it. Please allow for GIFs to actually animate.
This could be solved with an Insert Image Inline option in the post compose box similar to what's found in Outlook. We're trying to encourage team members to use the Posts feature in Teams instead of sending emails. However, the ability to share an animated GIF (created using screen capture software) to illustrate a task, bug, etc. is important. We'd like to see this feature added as well. There's an option to upload an animiated GIF as an attachment to a post or reply. But having the animated GIF inline so it can have context would be great.
You have Giphy, but animated gif pasted in conversations only show up as a static image.
Yea, we need this, and it's not as a joke. We can easily document buggy software behavior of linking a series of images showing before/after, mimicking user behavior. Although I understand the fun that can be involved. It can be used legitimately do document stuff.
Giphy works but not GIFs those are not the same thing. You do not "HAVE THIS", pasting a gif leads to teams replacing it with a static image.

The current version is not supporting animated GIF on my PC and my iPad neither. It would be great to get it back. I can see a broken small image template in the left top corner and the GIF placeholder is there (big area blocked) + a play button. But nothing happen if I play the GIF. The GIF is here to test: https://linistry-my.sharepoint.com/:i:/p/gyulak/EW4EB7YDPlNOjSHll-5R9KgB7PUXtgSHNtlSPbbXoSwVAg?e=cXPg2M

It is possible that animated gifs has been disabled for the Teams in your tenant. This can be disabled at both the Team level and tenant level.
