Folders inside of channels' file section
Folders inside of the Files section of a channel would be handy

Just click on “Files” tab from inside the channel, and then click the “New” button. A drop down will appear — select “Folder”.

Add the option to add/create a folder into the files section so that files can be grouped together

there are very few colums in "files section". maybe don't need to CREATE folders but there is a column 'location' showing where the file physically is, but what lacks is 'channel' with the information where the file was published - on which channel or maybe in private converstaion

I found that when creating a folder I had to use the mouse to click on Create. Pressing return did not work. Let's hope they get this fixed ASAP!

I agree. I want to create folders for different projects within our channels that are based on regions.

Yes, I think it will be cool to have folder (one level, not subfolder, subfolder...) to group together same channels.
Example for IT discussions:
Group: Tools - Channels: CRM, ERP...
Group: Network - Channels: Firewall, Switch...
Group: AD - Channels: User, Machine, Group... -

One of our Sales Channels is Sales Events. It would be great to be able to have folders with each event's information in the Files tab of the Channel.

Using this tool, I can easily see it start to replace many of the things I use email and other tools for. One of the biggest differences for teams/companies using this on a large scale will need is a way to put channel's into folders or groups under a particular team. That way a channel can be a long living place for standard information or it can be used for something temporary like a software release cycle and really utilize the added functionality with tabs and files.
