Show video for all people in Video meeting
Currently when in a video chat it only shows the active video for the last 4 people that have spoken in the chat. On the bottom bar it shows icons for all those in the chat. If it could show small video for all those in the chat that have their cameras turned on it would be beneficial. Then everyone on the video conference can see the reactions of others, whether they were the last to speak or not.
This is a problem with most video chatting applications. Google Hangouts it the only one we have found that shows video of all the participants on the screen.
We are excited to announce the 3×3 video view has been rolled out 100% to for Windows and Mac Clients. If you aren’t seeing 3×3 yet, please logout and log back in to the client.
We realize 3×3 is a start, but not good enough… as mentioned, we are continuing to work to include more videos during a meeting, as well as enabling support for mobile devices. Hence, the “partially done” status.

Hi Microsoft Admin,
Thank you so much for at least allowing us to get 3x3 view of videos. This is great!
However, I have a serious concern, although it shows 9 people on-screen during a live call but the recording of the same call shows 4 people (only 4 video frames). We are using the recordings to observe 9 students connected during call (online exam) but we are not able to observe the moments of 9 students but only 4 in recording.
Could you please check and respond, what could be the solution to this on an urgent basis.? Otherwise, we would need to switch to zoom as it shows the all people in recording too.
We are using Microsoft Teams in an organization of more than 15000 employees.

Agree with the other 54K+ people on this one! Need a gallery view on a second monitor just like we can do in Zoom and WebEx if we want to displace zoom and webex.
Can we at least scroll to see the rest of attendees?
Please more than 3x3, needs to match zoom
Can we have an update on more than 3x3 please?

This is a time to standout with more than 3x3 but no joy.
Thank you for making a start on this with 3×3 video gallery for Windows and Mac Clients. Zoom, Google Meet and most other video conference platforms offer the ability to see everyone's video on the call so will need to keep using them for now when Gallery is needed but good to see a start had been made. Will check back in :-D

To add to the frustration, and while I applaud the additon of 9 panes, it seems even more a confusing mess now. I am currently training our school to migrate to Teams from Zoom. This is hands down the biggest frustration for our teachers. After this latest update, which gives priority to video over audio, unexpected things happen in a meeting. If a teacher has, say, 6 students online and 5 turn their webcams off, the one who leaves theirs on gets all of the screen real estate. If they're sharing their screens, that individual is highlighted for all to see. The organizer is forced to have to get into pinning panes while sharing their desktop in order to force attendees to stay put in the kind of grid that Zoom just does by default. Because pinning is a client side feature that all attendees would have to do to replicate, it can only be done over a shared desktop if an organizer wants all users to see the same thing but that then introduces a delay.
We tried to run a Town-hall style meeting as a scheduled meeting yesterday because live events limits presenters to a single pane (and we had two that needed a side by side view). As attendees came online, they would show up in the pane and we spent the entire meeting messaging people to turn off their webcams so that Teams would de-prioritize it and they would remain icons.
To say that this is a mess is putting it mildly.

My non profit is not going to adopt teams due to the limitation of 9 people on screen. in a world that basically depends on the relationships between people being personalized and close, not being able to see everyone is the primary reason we will use zoom instead. In a few weeks I will have lost the ability to interest anyone in trying teams again for a video meeting, which means it likely wont' get used for anything. we can't really afford paid zoom accounts, but it looks like we'll be having them anyway.

The 3*3 is working well so thanks.
Do you have a time-frame on the increased numbers please?
When will this also be for web app? We have people in some countries who do not use apps, only web access. Our Deaf members need to see each other.
I still do not have the 3X3 view even though my Teams app was updated on 5/20.
When will this roll out to everyone???
You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.12058 (64-bit). It was last updated on 5/20/20
3x3 rolled out and it's way too overwhelming. Can individual users turn this feature off if desired?
