Show video for all people in Video meeting
Currently when in a video chat it only shows the active video for the last 4 people that have spoken in the chat. On the bottom bar it shows icons for all those in the chat. If it could show small video for all those in the chat that have their cameras turned on it would be beneficial. Then everyone on the video conference can see the reactions of others, whether they were the last to speak or not.
This is a problem with most video chatting applications. Google Hangouts it the only one we have found that shows video of all the participants on the screen.

We are excited to announce large gallery view (7×7 videos) and Together mode are available to the public for desktop & mobile.
Large Gallery is an optional feature and can be turned on at any time during the meeting. The new large gallery has a flexible design and will deliver a network-optimized client video experience that works on multiple device categories.

Is there an estimated date for release of this enhancement. We are about to start training for our staff and would be very good to have it available.

The original comms said this would be available as opt-in in June, opt-out in July and mandatory in August. I'm guessing this is no longer the plan, can we get an update on what the latest plan is?

It's now July 17 and this still hasn't rolled out? Or do we need to download an update?

@Seairth Jacobs - it's also not yet been rolled out fully to all users on Mac... still waiting for 3x3 here!

What I wouldn't give for a 3x3 display! We already have it, you say? Not if you are a customer on Linux. Still waiting...

Hi at present we can't use the Teams app on personal devices due to security issues so we need to use the web. At present can only see one person - any ideas?

Need way to block video from participants to not use all the speed of my internet connection.
This is not just reducing the quality of the inbound video, it is blocking it,

This doesn't even work with just 2 guests in a meeting. In other words, if I set up a teams meeting in the teams app and then send the link to 2 guests, the 2 guests are UNABLE to see each other. This is stupid.

If you guys are using Teams for conference calls, don't forget to vote for a "pause" button on the screen share:

Alex is the gallery view coming to citrix vdi infrastructures. On the citrix website says ask Microsoft when gallery view 2x2 is coming. I was under the impression webrtc was the limiting factor... please advise if this barrier has been overcome and gallery view is coming to VDI?

Why does the 7x7 view say "CANCELLED" on the roadmap???

I need this feature switch to disable all video except for screen share by the presenter. I work in the field via cellular data and the head-shot video of multiple participants kills my battery and makes the computer unusable.
Bandwidth is limited and excessive electricity usage / battery drain is not green and should be a enable/disable switch in configuration settings

Unfortunately I missed the meeting with those other 49 people, because Microsoft Teams is not telling me when somebody is calling me while I selected my other account!

Hi Alex - Regarding the "new Large Gallery view" you mentioned in your "Coming Soon " post above on 07/01/20. Do you know if participants will be required to have their video turned on/enabled in order for them to show on the grid?

This is great, but would you please verify if it is **only for education** or if it will be available for others as well?
I'd like to assume that it will be across the board, since this post doesn't specifically call out "Education", but the link to the roadmap/blog being in the education subdomain is somewhat confusing - especially because I wasn't able to find any similar posts elsewhere on the site.
If it is in fact going to roll out NOT just to education, it might be worth adding something to the update stating that although the roadmap/blog linked refers to the education space, this update is not limited to just education.
If it is just for education, I think you should be far more specific in your updates, as the OP for this has no mention of education, so I would be curious why the pivot?
One more thing - when you say "optional (preview)", does "optional" that mean that it will be an option that will need to be turned on at the Company Admin level, or is it user-specific? And does the "(preview)" part mean that the org needs to be part of some sort of special "preview"/beta group, or does that mean that it will just be selectively rolled out?
Thanks, and I appreciate all the work!
