Show video for all people in Video meeting
Currently when in a video chat it only shows the active video for the last 4 people that have spoken in the chat. On the bottom bar it shows icons for all those in the chat. If it could show small video for all those in the chat that have their cameras turned on it would be beneficial. Then everyone on the video conference can see the reactions of others, whether they were the last to speak or not.
This is a problem with most video chatting applications. Google Hangouts it the only one we have found that shows video of all the participants on the screen.
I’m excited to announce that a new Large Gallery view, with the ability to see up to 49 participant in a meeting, is coming soon to Teams! Large Gallery will release as an optional (preview) feature that can be turned on at any time during a meeting. Large Gallery has a flexible design and will deliver a network-optimized client video experience that works on multiple device categories. During the preview, the Large Gallery experience will be available for desktop Teams client on both Windows & Mac, as well as for mobile Teams client (iOS, Android) users.
You can read more about Large gallery view, as well as the new Together mode feature, here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-blog/what-s-new-in-microsoft-teams-june-2020/ba-p/1489142.
Large Gallery will begin rolling out with the new pop-out meetings experience for desktop clients in early July, and we are targeting full availability including mobile clients for iOS and Android by early September.

We saw the 3x3 for the first time Friday at our Team meeting and it is FABULOUS (along with raise hand). THANK YOU

Confusing answer from MS support Today, If i want to have this feature, use the Windows-Client.

is there any way to pin participants or cycle through the participant list. Also is there a way to change the view to be a 2x2 or even a single person.

Still waiting - - - no update to 9-person view yet. Is there any way a user can manually grab the update? I click "check for updates" in Teams and it doesn't give me the new one.
End of the week has come and gone and it's a new week with just 4-person view. Last update was March 17....
Unbelievable that Microsoft has fallen so far behind on this. I can't even count the number of people and organizations that have moved to Zoom or Meet bc of this deficiency.
9. People one the screen will be fun

I would love to see more of my friends at the same time.

The nine screens have reached us today which is excellent, however the Stream recording still only shows four participants, can the recording please include all.
Please add IOS & android
we now have it but it's not great. the number of boxes constantly changes from a single box to multiple boxes. ive never had 9 at the one time despite there being over 50 people on the call and the boxes constantly change which is really distracting. im forced to use teams by my organisation but zoom still excels on this front.
Others have posed the question in the comments but it hasn't been answered AFAIK. Is 3x3 only available on the desktop client? If so, what is the ETA for iOS, Android and Linux please?
Stanley Braganza commented
I *think* it's been rolled out to our organisation!

Please add support for Linux too or be so honest and announce that it will not come...
