Show video for all people in Video meeting
Currently when in a video chat it only shows the active video for the last 4 people that have spoken in the chat. On the bottom bar it shows icons for all those in the chat. If it could show small video for all those in the chat that have their cameras turned on it would be beneficial. Then everyone on the video conference can see the reactions of others, whether they were the last to speak or not.
This is a problem with most video chatting applications. Google Hangouts it the only one we have found that shows video of all the participants on the screen.
We are excited to announce large gallery view (7×7 videos) and Together mode are available to the public for desktop & mobile.
Large Gallery is an optional feature and can be turned on at any time during the meeting. The new large gallery has a flexible design and will deliver a network-optimized client video experience that works on multiple device categories.
Note: For the status of this feature for Government Clouds, please visit https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/926545/suggestions/40000762.

Just got off a Zoom call with 11 people with video, completely seamless. Let's get on this one all.
Please prioritize the possibility to view more than 4 cameras simultaneously. So important now, as we have limited opportunities to see one another!
can you give an approximate timeline please?
We are now conisdering other platforms because of this

Dear Alex, is there any prediction when this feature will be added? We are currently re-evaluating our meeting software (we are currently using Teams), since this is a breaking point in the times of Corona for larger online meetings. Kind regards! Allart

@Alex in Teams Engineering: it would be very helpful if you could please share an approximate timeline for this feature. Otherwise you are really not "updating" us on anything.

We as an organization have really struggled with implementing new software. The IT department has been trying to push Teams since its release. People have been resistant. Well along comes Covid-19 and now we have to work from home. We now have a need for video Conferencing. So we excitedly pushed out Teams.. Whats with it installing in App Data Local fix that also but I already voted that one up. Anyway out staff used teams for about a week then came the questions as to why we had a service that was so limited. Our CEO pushed us to deploy zoom. Microsoft has a very small window to fix this issue before people make teams the new skype... A thing of the past. Companies are not going to bounce around to different platforms during these uncertain times. Heads should roll in the Teams Dev Department.
Is there a target date for this?

is there a workaround for now?
Zoom has this feature. Teams should do too.
It will be great to show video of all participants of the meeting!
I love many great features of Teams, but I also admit that for my side educational business we went with zoom. The video quality is much lower that Teams though, but it still wins on many fronts:
1. It doesn’t require participants for an email account.
2. To schedule a meeting in zoom is super fast, and easy to share the link and dial in info.
3. It has many fantastic security settings
4. The recordings are super fast to access and share.
5. We can see faces of more than 4 participants.
6. It’s free or cheap for the more advanced features.
There is more other great functionality in zoom but the above are big ones in functionality and ease of usability.
This vote system here is actually shows wrong number as well who need this feature.
For every vote here, there are I guess at least 10+ people behind it considering the topic, that users need to see MORE people than they are seeing now.
So actual votes for this feature just from this "Feedback Forum" should be around quarter or a half a million votes and its rising fast.

My team would be SUPER happy with more than 4 screens. Thanks so much for pushing through this update!
I don't know why MS has always been the Microsoft Soon..
I'd like to add my voice to the chorus of people calling for the possibility to view more than 4 cameras simultaneously. 32 would be appreciated. Thanks!
Yes, please make it more than 4!
Yes, please. Especially for schools it now seems to be the one and only thing, that keeps everyone from agreeing on working with ms teams! So everyone is trying other channels like zoom, and I can't get them focused on ms teams. So the other teachers don't even want to know of all the other good things you can do with ms teams. And all they say is "Well, you can't even see every student". Really frustrating here.
Add me and my company to the growing chorus requesting Teams increase the number of participants shown in the main meeting window.

I would recommend that current setup gets extended from 2x2 to 3x3 or 4x4 before we reach higher numbers of participants displayed at once.
