Show video for all people in Video meeting
Currently when in a video chat it only shows the active video for the last 4 people that have spoken in the chat. On the bottom bar it shows icons for all those in the chat. If it could show small video for all those in the chat that have their cameras turned on it would be beneficial. Then everyone on the video conference can see the reactions of others, whether they were the last to speak or not.
This is a problem with most video chatting applications. Google Hangouts it the only one we have found that shows video of all the participants on the screen.
We are excited to announce the 3×3 video view has been rolled out 100% to for Windows and Mac Clients. If you aren’t seeing 3×3 yet, please logout and log back in to the client.
We realize 3×3 is a start, but not good enough… as mentioned, we are continuing to work to include more videos during a meeting, as well as enabling support for mobile devices. Hence, the “partially done” status.
Please see documentation here: https://support.office.com/article/using-video-in-microsoft-teams-3647fc29-7b92-4c26-8c2d-8a596904cdae
We had our first Teams meeting with our Board members and they were not impressed. They have obviously had good experience with other video conferencing applications and we are trying to convince them that this feature is on the way. However, I'm assuming that this feature will impacton bandwidth and increase possible dropouts?
Still no ETA after two years. It's becoming harder and harder to keep staff using teams within the eco system we have chosen. i understand you're under pressure currently, but this should have been done a year ago, and now it's really needed it should be a top priority regardless of what else is happening.

I'm use Zoom then

This has been a long time coming, disappointing to see there is still no ETA,
Could you give an estimated timescale for this please?
We don´t need 9 people - we need at least 12 people.
Please give us a date. This is a real issue in our company and by the sounds of it in many many more too. Those of us who support our businesses with these tools really need to be able to say with some confidence when. And btw, given the current lock-down, tomorrow is possibly too late! Life finds a way. Please help us out. Thanks
Thank your for your feedback Alex. I hope this shows you a lesson. You knew we wanted this feature 3 years ago and now you are late. Everyone is using Zoom now and you have lost millions of potential Team users. As IT manager this kind of things makes my job more difficult. Users don't understand why they have to use Teams instead of Zoom.

I strongly support you increasing this to the same way Zoom shows participants or as close as you can get it! As fast as you can!
We are finding that staff are moving away from Teams meetings to Zoom meetings as they are easier to use with numbers larger than 4. This is making it harder to keep those staff in Teams.
Academic staff find Zoom far easier to use for lecturer/student presentations because of the immediate visual feedback.
So - timeline? When are we getting there? Zoom away.
Hello, with the COVID19 situations we currently face as educators being able to see more than 4 students at a time is a MUST. There are not too many classrooms with less than 4 students and trying run lessons remotely and only seeing 4 faces can be very challenging. Please fats track this feature as quickly as possible. Thanks in anticipation, John Melb Aust
Please do not stop at 3x3, add options like 3x4, 4x5 and 5x6
Das wäre ein wichtiges Feature, gerade jetzt, wo viele im Homeoffice arbeiten.

Thanks Alex for sharing some progress! Fingers crossed that you will deliver sooner rather than later.

Yes, this would be perfect. Instead of only 4 people, let's see all of them :).
