Show video for all people in Video meeting
Currently when in a video chat it only shows the active video for the last 4 people that have spoken in the chat. On the bottom bar it shows icons for all those in the chat. If it could show small video for all those in the chat that have their cameras turned on it would be beneficial. Then everyone on the video conference can see the reactions of others, whether they were the last to speak or not.
This is a problem with most video chatting applications. Google Hangouts it the only one we have found that shows video of all the participants on the screen.
I’m excited to announce that a new Large Gallery view, with the ability to see up to 49 participant in a meeting, is coming soon to Teams! Large Gallery will release as an optional (preview) feature that can be turned on at any time during a meeting. Large Gallery has a flexible design and will deliver a network-optimized client video experience that works on multiple device categories. During the preview, the Large Gallery experience will be available for desktop Teams client on both Windows & Mac, as well as for mobile Teams client (iOS, Android) users.
Large Gallery will begin rolling out with the new pop-out meetings experience for desktop clients in early July, and we are targeting full availability including mobile clients for iOS and Android by early September.

Any updates on the ETA?

I need this too
This is crucial and should be the priority for Teams - when is this actually going to be available?
Any rough ETA on the roadmap?
MS has been talking about this for over a year! Hire someone from Zoom and get it done.
This would be an inportant feature - and please put a button to change the view.
Today it was announced that we can change the background picture.... but still just 4 people can be viewed at once
It's important that a teacher can see how all students are taking part, not just the last four who have said something.

In order to bring back all the users who already moved away from Teams because of this missing feature, it would be nessesary to bring sonething new to the table - and not just being able to do what everybody else can already do in Zoom.
Perhaps a way to chose to showcae the videofeeds in various kind of layouts?
Perhaps a way for the meeting owner to push out a specific layout to all the attendees?
Also when recording the meeting - an ability to chose what is being recorded - instead of all people, then perhaps only the one talking?
Perhaps a way to show meeting notes as a part of the layout - and also push it out, so attendees don't have to find the meeting notes themselves...?
Also waiting for that "Raise your hand" feature - so we don't have to use the chat for this.
Please get on with this. Your competitors have this.
Please show all users with video. It is strange we cannot see all and microsoft not fixed this for years. Zoom is much better on this.

Also if we can move from one screen to another screen, where it can show the next set of people in the meeting, it will help

I want this too

In the interim, everyone can try the below workaround (although a bit manual)
Pin a video
To focus on a particular video, right-click and select Pin. The video will be pinned to your view regardless of who's talking. You can pin as many videos as will fit on your screen. If you change your mind, right click again and hit Unpin.
Let me know if anyone found this helpful and how many people/students/colleagues you managed to pin at the same time!
I think we expect better than just 'working on it'. That's fine as a first response, but it's been almost 12 months now, without any sign of progress.
This IS a critical issue in schools, particularly with young children where it is critical to see all students at once, and it's hard to explain to our teachers why they should put up with the current limitations instead of switching product.
Hopefully Microsoft understand that this is exceptional times and that their normal reluctance to commit to a deadline needs to be put aside.
Please tell us where you're really at, and how long before we can expect change?

This feature not even listed in their roadmap. only with the status "working on it" here at user's voice. it has been a request since 2018.
why can't MS priorities on this most needed feature from the ground? and rather priorities on other good to have features. MS should support biz needs instead. this features not just for the education sector. corporate also need it in our regular meeting, especially in the current situation where we need to work remotely.
Satya Nadella, you recently spoke on CNBC regarding Microsoft taking an active leadership role by providing technology, specifically your Teams product, to enable society to better communicate while social distancing during this health crisis. When you read this thread, you will see the pain teachers and other educators and professionals are feeling as they attempt to use Teams. You have a real opportunity here to walk the talk. Please show the leadership that is needed to make the changes your users are begging for.
