Show video for all people in Video meeting
Currently when in a video chat it only shows the active video for the last 4 people that have spoken in the chat. On the bottom bar it shows icons for all those in the chat. If it could show small video for all those in the chat that have their cameras turned on it would be beneficial. Then everyone on the video conference can see the reactions of others, whether they were the last to speak or not.
This is a problem with most video chatting applications. Google Hangouts it the only one we have found that shows video of all the participants on the screen.
I’m excited to announce that a new Large Gallery view, with the ability to see up to 49 participant in a meeting, is coming soon to Teams! Large Gallery will release as an optional (preview) feature that can be turned on at any time during a meeting. Large Gallery has a flexible design and will deliver a network-optimized client video experience that works on multiple device categories. During the preview, the Large Gallery experience will be available for desktop Teams client on both Windows & Mac, as well as for mobile Teams client (iOS, Android) users.
You can read more about Large gallery view, as well as the new Together mode feature, here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-blog/what-s-new-in-microsoft-teams-june-2020/ba-p/1489142.
Large Gallery will begin rolling out with the new pop-out meetings experience for desktop clients in early July, and we are targeting full availability including mobile clients for iOS and Android by early September.

Getting lots of pressure to use/switch to other AV Conference solutions due to the 4 person limit in Teams. Going to 9 will be better but the need is still for 40+. If I at least had a date and target # of concurrent videos to share, that would help to support a hold and wait approach.
Thank you so much. Like so many others on this feed, this issue is vitally important to your customers, please...push to increase this number. If Zoom can do it/have it, no reason why Microsoft can't.
Great, but what a about rollout time line for GCC?
Good start - need to get this out very quickly. Then need to extend to much larger numbers - possibly just using the tile size that currently show your own view.

9? Try 100
Is this just for commercial tenants? or is this also for GCC?

Not again! it is too slow! It took 2 weeks to develop the solution for a grid 3x3 that was pending for years. It will take another 2-3 weeks to see this working somehow. Now what? another 2 years for 6x6 or 7x7?
Everyone here is looking for an option to view at least 20 people at the same time while the average client is looking for 30 ! PLEASE, PLEASE listen to your customers and make it work(liek available to clients) in the next 2-3 weeks.
NO ONE needs it in 3 months or in two years: by that time, we will have a list of established procedures and solutions and will not change anything just because you finally realised that it was important to do more on your side.

Superb great news
9 is a good start, hopefully alot more in future releases.
Try to bump the initial roll out to view at least 30 participants simultaneously, so that teachers can immediately start using Teams instead of Zoom. It fits perfectly with the new "raise a hand" feature that is rolling out.
Well 9 people is a start.... but honestly... you had OVER THREE YEARS to build this feature since it was requested...

It's good news but also sad that it took 3.5 years from this suggestion and a PANDEMIC for it to come to fruition.
3x3 is a beginning, but not very helpful...

Great update, certainly need to accelerate the plus 9 screens for those larger meetings.

That would be great because I do not want to use one of those inferior products.

Good to hear. However, MS needs to step this up. While I like the integration of Teams within O365, the offering is SO far behind that of Zoom or Webex. Catch up quickly, or you're going to lose users!!!
