Show video for all people in Video meeting
Currently when in a video chat it only shows the active video for the last 4 people that have spoken in the chat. On the bottom bar it shows icons for all those in the chat. If it could show small video for all those in the chat that have their cameras turned on it would be beneficial. Then everyone on the video conference can see the reactions of others, whether they were the last to speak or not.
This is a problem with most video chatting applications. Google Hangouts it the only one we have found that shows video of all the participants on the screen.
We are excited to announce large gallery view (7×7 videos) and Together mode are available to the public for desktop & mobile.
Large Gallery is an optional feature and can be turned on at any time during the meeting. The new large gallery has a flexible design and will deliver a network-optimized client video experience that works on multiple device categories.
Note: For the status of this feature for Government Clouds, please visit https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/926545/suggestions/40000762.

Unfortunately this ship has sailed and we're fully invested in Zoom at this point. A little late on this one, but thanks for all your work on this.
Unfortunately I missed the meeting with those other 49 people, because I have multiple accounts and Microsoft Teams is not telling me when somebody is calling me!

Awesome! Why are these new features not enabled for the Microsoft Teams Rooms solution?
Teams Rooms now seems to be 'behind' with only 4 screens enabled during Teams meetings.
Any plans to add this for Teams on the Web?
@alex your message seems confusing as i don't think the together mode and large gallery is working for me on desktop version despite the latest version
Update- the options to change the display showed once there were enough people- there were no switches to flip in settings. It worked really great on the iPad! Now to make make chat work side by side, Siri calling, etc.. :)
@Alex- Is this something that has to be turned on on the iPad app? Also- What is the version number required- the latest version out seems to be 2.0.18 and I don't seem to have any options. Thanks for the update- so far the new experience looks like a winner!
How many people can we see in Together Mode on iPad or iPhone please? Can it go beyond the Gallery limits...
Can you optimize the mobile camera experience. If you're on your mobile phone, other viewers see you dramatically and cartoonishly zoomed in.
Running the new teams update and it's been excellent. Well done MS. Great to see everyone in large gallery and the "together mode" is a great add-on.

This has been implemented for us, but "MUTE ALL" seems to be missing from the new experience. This is a very important feature for the organizer. Any idea if this is coming back soon or am I looking in the wrong place. It is not under the Participant pane where it used to be.
Great work Teams team! Got the Large Gallery (and Together Mode). What happens beyond "49"? Are pages with another 7x7 layout created similar to Zoom?
We're having to host many meetings with people external to my organisation, who don't have the app. It would be very beneficial if users accessing Teams via a web browser could also see tiles for multiple speakers.

We would like the ability to enable this new meeting experience setting on a mass scale. We have over 15,000 staff and students who need to see more than 9 participants at one time before school begins in a couple weeks. Having to teach everyone to click this setting including kindergarten students would be very challenging. Please let me know how we can accommodate this need as soon as possible. Thank you!

I see that the switch has been flipped for 3x3 on Linux. Thanks, it make our meetings so much more pleasant! Now, will it be another 3 months before we get 7x7?
Considering the needs of updates and features from the growing market/users, including a corporation with this size; your response to the market is considered pretty slow.
Need option to only see shared screen video and turn off all other video - shared internet with my kid's school. Audience bobble-head video not helpful.

@Alex (Teams Engineering, Microsoft Teams)
Great news but I'm a bit confused as I have access to the 'New Meeting experience ..' option and have it ticked, but I can still only view 9 people.
So when does the actually functionality appear?
