Show video for all people in Video meeting
Currently when in a video chat it only shows the active video for the last 4 people that have spoken in the chat. On the bottom bar it shows icons for all those in the chat. If it could show small video for all those in the chat that have their cameras turned on it would be beneficial. Then everyone on the video conference can see the reactions of others, whether they were the last to speak or not.
This is a problem with most video chatting applications. Google Hangouts it the only one we have found that shows video of all the participants on the screen.
We are excited to announce large gallery view (7×7 videos) and Together mode are available to the public for desktop & mobile.
Large Gallery is an optional feature and can be turned on at any time during the meeting. The new large gallery has a flexible design and will deliver a network-optimized client video experience that works on multiple device categories.
Note: For the status of this feature for Government Clouds, please visit https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/926545/suggestions/40000762.

Why nothing for Linux? Still on 2x2, no background blur, no hands up.

I still don't have the option to Turn on new meeting experience in my Teams client for Windows. The version of my client is 1.3.00.15561.

But when will we get more than 4 video streams (2x2) on iPad / iOS ?

Please make the large gallery view a reality for users using the web version of teams. Yes - there are some of us ... e.g. using only a chromebook for all our workflows.
Linux is still in 16851. Start of class is coming near by September and this feature is needed at most. I hope you also update the Linux version of Teams.
I've got the latest client version x64 but no option to enable the new meeting experience :(

Any progress on the linux client...?
I have version 1.3.00.15561 - updated 7/13/20 (manually). I did not have the option for new Teams Meeting Experience on 7/13 when I downloaded the update. I checked today, and I do have the option today! Can hardly wait for the next BIG meeting tomorrow to try this out !

When will the logitech tap systems be updated we can still only see 4 people on a TV screen.
I heard from someone today claiming to be on 1.3.00.19565, though I have no idea how he got it. We even have 365 set for targeted releases and still don't have it.
A direct download from the Teams web site yields either 1.3.00.13565 or 1.3.00.15561.
That manual 1.3.00.15561 download was the only way I could get on it, since updating within the app showed no updates (tried many times over days).
MS: please make actual current versions available for download if the auto-update isn't going to work predictably.
I can't see this on my 64 bit version and when I check updates it says I have the latest version which is You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.3.00.13565 (64-bit). It was last updated on 6/6/20.

Should this apply to the 64-bit version as well? or just 32-bit?

Awesome news. Can't wait to preview
Would Microsoft be able to share more information as to how the rollout of Large Gallery unfolds ? Just to manage expectations in a more specific way than "start rolling out"
This needs to be in the iOS and Android apps! Still waiting for 3x3 on there too!
I scanned through the below comments and my request did not pop out at me.
Bringing this expanded video gallery is a great start.
I request that there be the option to pop out the video panel so that the video panel can be placed on a separate screen when there is also a presented/shared content.
