Get a link to a conversation
There should be an option to create a link to a conversation, thus enabling pinging of folks with a direct link, requesting their inputs.

The feature team confirmed this feature has released as of April 4th for web and desktop.
Thank you all for the support and feedback!

Please do this. At present deep links only work within Teams. Otherwise the user gets a confusing launcher page, which negates the use totally.
Allowing deep links to work without going through the launcher is essential for those of us programming applications using graph -

It's a link and text, if you want the link only just paste it i the chat box and right click to copy link (then remove the text and paste the link instead). In most cases text is probably better since the link is very long.

Currently, teams is proposing to retrieve the direct link from a conversation by the menu. But when you click on "Copy Link", it's not a URL you get, but a text, which is useless.
Exemple : Christophe Coupez : Here is the discussion for which I would like to have a direct li…

It is VERY important to be able to have a direct link to a conversation, as it is possible to do today for Yammer for example. -

Discovered that the More Options > Copy Link function is quite unusable.
1. I would expect a proper URL copied to the clipboard but apparently it's only an MS Teams internal clipboard format that can only be pasted in MS Teams or maybe other MS software like Outlook. But I can't refer to that conversation in any other non-MS software based channel.
2. After pasting such a link into another MS Teams conversation many other team members reported that the link either did not work (404) or sent them to a completely different conversation than the one I referred to. While I as the author of the post get sent to the correct conversation. Seems to be a plain bug. -

You can click on More Options -> Copy Link at the top of the comment and it will copy a link to that comment or conversation to your clipboard. It copies as a full link instead of just a URL, so it doesn't paste well in plaintext, but it does work in Outlook etc. Hope this helps. I was struggling with this for a few minutes as well.

According to https://support.office.com/en-us/article/what-s-new-in-microsoft-teams-d7092a6d-c896-424c-b362-a472d5f105de?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US it has been released.
However when pasting the buffer in a simple text editor only the title is pasted, not the actual link. While pasting it in an app supporting rich text then we can extract the link. -

Hi, It would be really useful to get links to specific conversations.
Also, if the conversation gets too big, say more than 20, then link to specific post - generated as requested.

yes, would help us too !
maybe it makes sense to merge this dev. with the API that would allow posting replies to a conversation, - by Flow or elsehow ?
That one I mean: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/19199878-allow-to-post-a-reply-to-a-conversation-via-rest -

In addition to direct links to conversations in a team/channel, we would also like support for direct linking to 1:1 chat with a user, much like there is 1:1 chat linking to bots.
