Integrate fully with Planner, Sharepoint, and Outlook Tasks, Calendar
Please integrate more with Planner (hopefully soon with Kanban and timeline visualisation channels for tasks) and/or with sharepoint web parts that do this, so all tasks linked in one place. And Outlook as well (for calendar and emails pertinent to chats and tasks). Until then in effect Teams is yet just another tool to use that is not completely integrated for communication + coordination.

We are now preparing for the roll out of Tasks in Teams which will integrate additional features integrating To-Do and Planner. This includes additional list views that also extend to tabs in teams. Further announcements about additional integration in our overall Tasks coherence effort will follow.
You can follow the rollout via our Roadmap item: https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/roadmap?searchterms=57213. To see a preview of the experience, please visit https://youtu.be/rTATVGroEsQ.

An issue we ran into with this new feature is that the assigned to me (Planner Tasks) is missing a card view like it used to have. It would be great if we had the ability to elect list or board/card view for the "Assigned to Me" list of tasks

If this feature is still in rollout preparation, how comes one of our user is currently experiencing a change in Planner app view? She can only see tasks in list mode. She can't no longer go back to Kanban view.

Why has this not rolled out to my tenant even though the roadmap is indicating July CY2020?

We also need a view for managers to see what tasks their team members have allocated and are working on. This is to ensure even load of tasks across a department, picking up progress whilst users are on leave, etc.

Any ETA on how long the roll out will take? Very eager to try this out so I can finally organize and consolidate everything into 1 place.

This has to be enabled in ALL channels including private channels, too. It is completely unwieldy and illogical from a user perspective not to be able to use Planner in private channels for tracking actions.

Teams you can see your calendar like in outlook but it doesn’t show your ‘tasks’ in outlook for those of us that track our daily work in outlook in tasks
Is there a task plug in we can have added so we have full functionality similar to Outlook for tasks -

Delayed again :(
Found in MC211421 – (Updated) The Planner app in Teams will be renamed with an updated experience powered by Planner and To Do:
Updated June 26, 2020: To ensure the best possible experience for our users, we are delaying some of our deployments to reduce the amount of change flowing into the services. Please see the updated details and roll-out timeline below The Planner app in Teams will become the Tasks app. Users will now be able see their individual tasks and team tasks in a single app. We?re also introducing both a list view and a new mobile tasks experience within the Teams app for mobile devices. The Planner app will be renamed after the rollout is complete, as described below. We will begin roll-out in July (previously June) and expect to be complete in August (previously mid-July). When will the tasks in teams functionality be available? This is one of the largest deficiencies that a collaboration and project management hub does not allow you to organize yourself as well.

Typical Teams development. You put out the news one year+ before the roll-out. No updates. Cannot keep your own deadlines.
Seriously. If your clients run their businesses this poorly you wouldn't have any because they go out of business.
