See all channels inside a teams in the left panel under the Team's Name
Currently we have Teams defaulted to show you the first (up to five) channels ever created. If you want to add more channels to your left rail view, just click the ellipses next to the channel name and select “Favorite”. When you favorite the channel, it will then be “pinned” to your left rail under that team name.
Try that and let me know if that meets your needs!
Good idea. This feature is what I want.
This is crazy, why doesn't it allow for all the channels to be listed at once?

Hiding the channels is one of those small annoyances - especially when I notice activity HOURS later on a channel I don't actively follow.
Also on the iOS App, every channel is visible by default. Please asjust the Windows App accordingly.
On an Mac, I see all channels by default. On Windows only 3, and new messages within channels are not visible (bold) to my Team Members.
We cannot work with this behavior.
The most strage thing is, that I as Admin who created all channels can see al of them; the other team members just see 2 or 3 of them. and always have to click show more... this is boring.
arranging the order of the channels would also be a nice thing...
Please make it an option to show all channels! Having to constantly click "Show X more channels" gets old

If there is white space available to show all of the channels within a Team then they definitely should not be hidden. An option to set the number of visible channels for each team would also be nice.

and make more options possible on a settings dialog. there are no real user preferences

The "favorite them all" is a non-intuitive workaround, there should be a more thorough channel visibility settings feature. This type of UI customization could all be captured in one screen, along with things like enabling/disabling the "reply" feature, disabling auto-hide ("pinning") for the channels pane, etc.

SOLUTION: you just have to "star" the channel then it's always shown.

It hides my channels even when I only have 2. There's no reason to hide the 2nd of 2. Also, expanding the list should be a real toggle, like, 'Show all' / 'show less'
I am guessing that this is set this way for when teams have 5+ channels inside of them. it will only show your favourite channels to reduce the list that you'd otherwise have to browse through.
set them as favourite and it'll show for you
I agree with Bruce and TristianG completely, but one workaround I have found in the meantime is to favorite the "1 more channel" and it will display normally. I suppose if you only have a few channels (like I do) it's an okay workaround to just favorite them all and not have to worry about it.

The Channels window should not automatically disappear when making the window narrower. I prefer to have a chat client half-width on a screen. I should be able to pin the channels so I can always see them. Also, the design of the channels navigation bar wastes a lot of space with the team icon, which is just a square with initials in it. Just show the channel name and leave it to us to give them meaningful names which categorise.
The current way channels are shown is not optimal. Why do we collapse the channels if there is only one additional channel? Why not just show me that channel?
I would much rather have you show me all the channels for a team up front and let me manage what I see by collapsing or expanding individual teams.
