See all channels inside a teams in the left panel under the Team's Name
Currently we have Teams defaulted to show you the first (up to five) channels ever created. If you want to add more channels to your left rail view, just click the ellipses next to the channel name and select “Favorite”. When you favorite the channel, it will then be “pinned” to your left rail under that team name.
Try that and let me know if that meets your needs!

We need to see all channels, with the option of pinning our favorites to the top of the list. I think it's the best user experience. Providing ways to configure how users want to view the channels would be even better.
I prefer the Slack default of showing all channels.
I just did the favorite but it really seems more like a workaround. We are transitioning to Teams from Slack and having the limitation of 5 channels in the list is not a great experience
Hi there - Our team is large and uses many teams and channels (at least 5 channels in each Team, often more.) It is annoying to have to show more in each team to see activity. I understand that I can get notified but It would be much simpler for users to be able to see all channels if they wish.

As others have mentioned, the app should either:
A) Automatically display all channels that can fit in available 'white space', depending on how the app is sized.
B) Allow for a setting to determine how many channels you want (probably easier to code), or an option to just display them all, with a scroll bar as needed.
Heck, even a settings or gear icon to manage options within the app would be nice!
Suphatra, that solution is not valid. I don't want to be notified about each channel new conversation, I just want to permanently expand the list of all the channels inside all my favorite teams.
I'd like to see a single list of all favourited channels, irrespective of team.
Good idea. This feature is what I want.
This is crazy, why doesn't it allow for all the channels to be listed at once?

Hiding the channels is one of those small annoyances - especially when I notice activity HOURS later on a channel I don't actively follow.
Also on the iOS App, every channel is visible by default. Please asjust the Windows App accordingly.
On an Mac, I see all channels by default. On Windows only 3, and new messages within channels are not visible (bold) to my Team Members.
We cannot work with this behavior.
The most strage thing is, that I as Admin who created all channels can see al of them; the other team members just see 2 or 3 of them. and always have to click show more... this is boring.
arranging the order of the channels would also be a nice thing...
Please make it an option to show all channels! Having to constantly click "Show X more channels" gets old

If there is white space available to show all of the channels within a Team then they definitely should not be hidden. An option to set the number of visible channels for each team would also be nice.

and make more options possible on a settings dialog. there are no real user preferences

The "favorite them all" is a non-intuitive workaround, there should be a more thorough channel visibility settings feature. This type of UI customization could all be captured in one screen, along with things like enabling/disabling the "reply" feature, disabling auto-hide ("pinning") for the channels pane, etc.

SOLUTION: you just have to "star" the channel then it's always shown.

It hides my channels even when I only have 2. There's no reason to hide the 2nd of 2. Also, expanding the list should be a real toggle, like, 'Show all' / 'show less'
I am guessing that this is set this way for when teams have 5+ channels inside of them. it will only show your favourite channels to reduce the list that you'd otherwise have to browse through.
set them as favourite and it'll show for you
