Sort conversations so the latest posts are at the top rather than bottom
Messages currently come in with latest content at the bottom of the page. Would be good to be able to re-sort so the conversations with the most recent traffic are at the top. Also, move the "Start a new conversation" to the top so that its clear you're adding a new conversation and not responding to a prior thread (we have a lot of newbies who don't use the "reply" because the compose bar is on the bottom, and thus end up creating a bunch of new threads accidentally).
Conversations in Groups starts at the top and forces old ones down the page. Conversations in Teams starts at the bottom and forces old ones up the page. Recommend you standardize on one method please. Confusing UX if you move between them.
Hi everyone, thanks so much for this request.
We have thought this through and decided to prioritize other user-requested items, so this one has been declined. But please don’t stop telling us what you want, because we’re still working to get many of those done. We’re listening and appreciate your support and patience.

Glad this was declined. It would make thing much worse when the de facto standard has always been the most recent on the bottom
Please fix this! The first issue that came up when changing to Teams in my organisation!

Please review, I am trying to onboard my office to Teams and a lack of this option is effecting the credibility of the software and hampering my efforts to engage people.
Hello, we are using MS Teams to record a review and decision-making process for regular applications, Having to 'wade' to the bottom of a growing list to find current conversations is awkward and time-wasting. I now we can see recent activity - but being able to change the sort order from oldest to newest at the top is a fundamental activity of any communication tool. I can not understand the reply that this has been declined ... makes the system very unfriendly.
It is time consuming to find the last person who contacted you if you work at a large company. It is crazy not to have most recent chats at the top. At least, give us users the choice.

Please look into this request again. As many other users here have stated, the current layout of Team conversations is confusing as it looks too much like a chatroom, when it behaves more like a social media feed.
Moving the "new Conversation" field to the top, as well as sorting conversations from NEWEST-OLDEST will make this tab easier to understand for people new to Teams.
Agree with Arthur's comment below!
This is probably one of the biggest nuisances in Teams, and one of the reasons I am resistant to adopt. Having to scroll down to the bottom to find what has been posted is not only an annoyance, but a waste of time.
if this is declined, why isn't the voting closed? I was still able to up-vote it. are votes/popularity still being considered? thank you

This should be a standard function. The fact that it is not included is a bit embarrassing for Microsoft.
please consider fixing this. it's broken until you do.
1. put "start new conversation" on top - too many newbies reply to existing by starting a new conversation
2. order newest conversations (and/or by their most recent replies) at the top
3. (ordering replies top(oldest) to bottom(newest) is ok, that still makes sense
4. improve the visualization so its easier to differentiate one conversation from the next and to differentiate replies from the original conversation
5. remove the "see more" "see less" functionality, it simply hides information people are searching for by scrolling. "collapse all" can still make sense for replies, but when I expand, I should be able to see complete posts as I'm scrolling down.
The list of requestors gets longer and longer...
@Microsoft: Why do you ignore such an important user friendly feature for 3!!! years?
Please review priority on this. Much more efficient for team members to look at the screen in front of them with most current information/conversation rather than having to scroll to the bottom of the list of conversations. Newest messages on top. please!
This is a necessary feature for a O365 group that is used instead of a shared mailbox (which in some scenarios is a good choice). Please give priority.
Please implement an option to sort messages from the newest to the oldest!
This is total ****. Everytime I change a channel, I have to scroll to see the latest message. Get off your butts and make it right.

Useless ... Microsoft needs people in charge of these decisions that actually use the product. This is utter nonsense not to include this functionality. Whoever made this decision is completely out of touch with their client base.

This is the only thing that prohibits us (an international company spread over 14 countries) to use Teams for chat. I admit that there are other obstacles as well, but not being able to sort as you want simply doesn't work for us.
I would greatly appreciate this feature, not all conversations work Top to bottom the way you have them in Teams, we use connector Apps to get alerts which we generally would prefer to have the conversations show up in the reverse order for.

Yes, please give users the option to sort new to old. I don't want to have to sort through pages of old stuff to see the latest post.
