Relax browser support check
The current browser support check is too pessimistic and prevents some modern browsers from loading Microsoft Teams. For example, up-to-date Chrome on Ubuntu Linux is not considered a supported browser, even though changing the User-Agent string to Chrome on Windows allows Teams to load without any problems.
Please consider a) just letting the browser try to load Teams, b) using feature detection instead of the User-Agent string, or c) blacklisting known broken browsers instead of whitelisting if the User-Agent string is used.

This is still under review by the feature team. No new details yet.

Everywhere in the web, the default behaviour is "your browser might not work well", then I can decide to accept that and move on or leave. Teams is the only website known to me that actively locks out a modern, state-of-the-art browser based on an up-to-date Chromium engine that should have no extraordinary issues (usability, functional, security related or otherwise) whatsoever.

+1 for Vivaldi.
I would imagine that with the new Edge based on Chromium, MS would have relaxed this already -

The latest Chromium, Chrome, and Firefox when run on Ubuntu 18.04.5 without any User Agent spoofing seems to work fine. Both even work with audio calls and screen sharing in my tests.

I know Win Phone is at end of support but I still use it as a work phone and see no reason why I can't access Teams from the Edge browser built in (Teams app having been disabled due to dropping support). Instead I have to use my personal phone which I don't want anything work related on so don't want to install the app and have work account linked to the phone. Edge on Android.. Not supported. Chrome... Not supported!
Yes I could get a new work phone, but it works fine for basic features I need. Calls, text, email, bit of simple browsing. Teams dropping support I can deal with if it's just "you may experience issues", but blocking access is harming productivity.

Could someone explain why it works in Firefox on Linux only if I change my users agent as Edge on Windows?
Why you are having this block at all? Just show notification somewhere that "Your browser probably would not work well" and let users work with your web application.

**** just drop any check and put some first time connect popup "you browser is not officially supported, if you experienced any problem change your browser" and leave your users alone... We are smart enough to see if the browser have problem or not...

Honestly, this has been open for 3 years with no change! For goodness sake get it fixed please Microsoft.
I wouldn't even need to be doing it except for the failure to properly support guest access in Teams which means that I have to keep the Teams client open on one tenancy and use the browser for another.

Teams on Vivaldi on Linux works, but not on Windows.
